- **Check Work Exists**: Cheap existence check for a DOI without fetching the metadata payload.
- **Get DOI Prefix**: Look up the steward (owning member) and metadata for a DOI prefix.
- **Get Funder by ID**: Retrieve full metadata for a single funder from the Open Funder Registry by funder ID.
- **Get Journal by ISSN**: Retrieve full metadata for a specific journal by ISSN, including deposit counts and publisher.
- **Get Member by ID**: Retrieve full metadata for a single Crossref member organization by numeric ID.
- **Get Work by DOI**: Retrieve the full metadata record for a single scholarly work by its DOI.
- **Get Work Registration Agency**: Look up which DOI registration agency (Crossref, DataCite, mEDRA, etc.) owns a given DOI.
- **Get Work Type**: Retrieve metadata for a single Crossref work type by ID.
- **List Licenses**: List all distinct content licenses (Creative Commons, publisher-specific, etc.) attached to works deposited with Crossref.
- **List Works by Funder**: List or search works funded by a specific funder (and optionally its descendant funders).
- **List Works by Member**: List or search works deposited by a specific Crossref member (publisher). Supports all /works filters.
- **List Works by Prefix**: List or search works deposited under a specific DOI prefix.
- **List Works by Type**: List or search works of a specific type (e.g. all datasets, all book-chapters, all preprints).
- **List Works in Journal**: List or search works published in a specific journal by ISSN. Supports all /works filters and queries.
- **List Work Types**: List all valid Crossref work types (journal-article, book-chapter, dataset, etc.).
- **Search Funders**: Search the Open Funder Registry for grant funders (NIH, NSF, Wellcome, etc.).
- **Search Journals**: Search journals registered with Crossref by title, ISSN, or publisher.
- **Search Members**: List or search Crossref member organizations (publishers) that have deposited metadata.
- **Search Works**: Search 150M+ scholarly works (journal articles, books, datasets, etc.) by keyword, author, title, filters, and more.
