> Install the geni CLI and Claude Code, Codex, or Gemini CLI can call any service you've connected, with credentials injected and scrubbed from output.

`geni` is a command-line tool that gives an AI coding agent on your machine access to the integrations you've connected in General Input. Ask Claude Code to post in a Slack channel or pull last week's Stripe charges, and it finds the right credential, reads the operation's docs, and makes the call, without ever seeing the token. Install it from npm as `@general-input/cli` and see the [developer page](/developers).

```sh
curl -fsSL https://generalinput.com/install.sh | sh
geni login
geni skills install
```

### How it works

- **Browser sign-in.** `geni login` runs a device-code flow: approve in the browser, pick a workspace, and the CLI saves a session token.
- **Discovery first.** Commands list your credentials and each operation's exact request shape and environment variable names, so the agent doesn't guess URLs.
- **Secrets injected, then scrubbed.** `geni exec` resolves each credential in the cloud, injects it as an environment variable for one local command, and redacts it from the output.
- **Every use is logged.** Each credential must be paired with a reason, which lands in your workspace's credential access log.
- **Skills for your agent.** `geni skills install` teaches Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, and VS Code Copilot Chat how to use it.
