# Workspace deletion: permanently delete a workspace

> Owners can now delete a workspace from Settings. It goes dark immediately, and its subscription, data, files, and schedules are removed for good.

Owners can now delete a workspace from Settings. Confirm by typing the workspace's name, and it becomes invisible and inert immediately: members lose access, and nothing in it runs again. Its data is then removed permanently, not just hidden.

### How it works

- **Owner only.** Deleting a workspace requires the Owner role.
- **Outside services first.** The workspace's Stripe subscription is cancelled immediately, its hosted databases are deleted, and its stored files are swept from storage.
- **One transaction for the data.** Every record the workspace owns, from workflows and runs to connections, chats, and memberships, is deleted in a single ordered transaction, so a failure can't leave half a workspace behind.
- **Schedules stop.** Scheduled and polling triggers are removed once the deletion commits.
- **Nothing forgotten.** A test reads the database schema and fails if a new kind of workspace data is ever added without being covered by deletion.
- **Your account stays.** Deleting a workspace doesn't delete your account or your other workspaces; for that, see [account deletion](/changelog/2026-09-25-account-deletion).
