# Switch a model off from one source, keep it from the rest

> Settings, Models now has a switch for every line between a source and a model, so a hosted copy can go off while subscriptions keep running it.

You can now turn a model off from one source without losing it everywhere. Turn off General Input's hosted Claude Opus, for example, and members' Claude subscriptions keep running it at no credit cost, while Auto stops sending it to the hosted copy. Turning a model off as a whole still works as before: it stops running from every source and Auto skips it. See every model we host on the [models](/models) page.

### How it works

- **Two kinds of switch.** The switch beside each model on the Models page covers every source and Auto. A switch on each line covers that one source only, and the model keeps running from its other sources.
- **Where to find them.** Open General Input to switch any hosted model off from its provider. Click a model for its card, which lists every source that runs it, each with its own switch.
- **Subscriptions and custom endpoints too.** Take a model off members' subscriptions while General Input keeps hosting it. A custom endpoint's line is the same switch as that custom model's own, so the two never disagree.
- **Auto follows the lines.** Auto only routes through lines that are on, so switching off a hosted copy keeps Auto on subscriptions and on the hosted models you left on.

### Also shipped

- A line stays switched off when its model goes off and on again, and when General Input's hosted models go off and on as a whole.
