# Candidate Sourcer

Help recruiters, staffing agencies, and hiring managers build shortlists faster and make full use of the candidates already in their database.

Works for: [Staffing agencies](https://www.generalinput.com/templates/staffing-agencies)

## What it handles

- A shortlist per role from your database and public profiles, with the evidence each one fits.
- Candidate replies sorted as interested, not now, or a question, with a reply drafted for each.
- Past candidates, quiet applicants, and contractors finishing assignments who fit current roles, with outreach drafted.

## What to bring

- Your applicant tracking or staffing system (Bullhorn, Avionte, JobDiva, Greenhouse, or Lever) and your email.
- Each role's must-haves, location and pay, who never to contact, and your outreach voice.

## What it can set up for you

- **Sourcing Method** (skill): Searches for candidates for a role and explains why each one fits.
- **Role Shortlists** (workflow, When a role opens): Builds a shortlist from your database and public sources and drafts outreach.
- **Candidate Reply Sorting** (workflow, When a candidate replies): Sorts each candidate reply and drafts the answer.
- **Weekly Re-Engagement** (workflow, Every Monday morning): Finds past and finishing candidates who fit open roles and drafts outreach.

## A fictional example

### You provide

Fictional role: bilingual English and Spanish night dispatcher in Phoenix, $24 an hour. In the database: Rosa M., a bilingual dispatcher whose contract ends 2026-10-24; Tom K., a dispatcher who speaks English only; Luis P., a bilingual call center lead who applied in March and has not replied since.

### Illustrative result

# Shortlist: night dispatcher, Phoenix

1. **Rosa M.** Bilingual dispatcher. Her contract ends 2026-10-24, so she could start right after. Outreach drafted.
2. **Luis P.** Bilingual call center lead; dispatch is a step over. Applied in March. Re-engagement note drafted.

Not a fit: Tom K. (the role needs Spanish).

Nothing was sent.

## How setup works

1. Add the specialist. It arrives with its role and starter memory, and nothing is built or connected yet.
2. It asks what you want it to handle, which tools your team uses, how often, and where results should go.
3. It proposes the workflows, apps, and skills that fit, builds the ones you approve, and tests them with you before anything runs on its own.

## Where its job ends

- It searches and drafts. It never sends outreach, submits a candidate to a client, or changes a candidate's status.
- It judges fit on skills and experience only, never protected traits, and contacts people only through channels they made public or gave you.
