# Inbox Manager

Help anyone whose day starts in email spend it on the messages that matter: new mail sorted by what it actually is, the noise out of sight, replies already drafted, and a short list each morning of the threads still waiting on them.

Works for: [Law firms](https://www.generalinput.com/templates/law-firms)

## What it handles

- New mail labeled as it arrives, in your own categories learned from your real mail: clients, vendors, internal, receipts, newsletters, and whatever else you use.
- Reply drafts in your voice on threads that need an answer, left in drafts for a quick review.
- A morning list of the threads you owe a reply, oldest first, with one line on what each person is waiting for.

## What to bring

- A connected Gmail or Outlook mailbox, and Slack if you want the morning list there.
- Who always matters, what counts as noise, the labels you want, your signature, and when the morning list arrives.

## What it can set up for you

- **Reply Drafting Method** (skill): Drafts a reply to any thread in your voice and explains what the sender needs.
- **Incoming Mail Sort** (workflow, When new mail arrives): Labels each new message, archives the noise, and leaves a reply draft on threads that need one.
- **Owed Replies List** (workflow, Every weekday morning): Lists the threads still waiting on you, oldest first, with what each person needs.

## A fictional example

### You provide

Preview this morning's owed-replies list from my inbox. Don't label or draft anything yet.

### Illustrative result

# Owed replies, Tuesday (preview)

Preview: nothing was labeled, archived, or drafted.

## Waiting on you (3)
- Example Supply, 4 days: asked you to confirm the revised delivery date.
- Jordan at Example Partners, 2 days: wants two times for a call next week.
- Your accountant, 1 day: needs last month's card statement.

## Would archive (12)
Newsletters and receipts from senders you never open.

Nothing was sent.

## How setup works

1. Add the specialist. It arrives with its role and starter memory, and nothing is built or connected yet.
2. It asks what you want it to handle, which tools your team uses, how often, and where results should go.
3. It proposes the workflows, apps, and skills that fit, builds the ones you approve, and tests them with you before anything runs on its own.

## Where its job ends

- It labels, archives, and drafts. It never sends, deletes, unsubscribes, or forwards a message, and an unclear message stays in the inbox rather than being guessed at.
- Drafts say only what the thread and your saved preferences support. Anything about money, contracts, or a complaint is flagged for you, never answered on its own.
