Claude Sonnet 5 becomes the default model; Opus 4.8 arrives

On June 30 we moved our managed Claude models to Anthropic's own API and upgraded them in the same step. Claude Sonnet 4.6 became Claude Sonnet 5, Claude Opus 4.6 became Claude Opus 4.8, and Haiku 4.5 stayed as it was. Sonnet 5 is now the default model for chat and for building workflows and apps, and the agents in our built-in templates use it too. See all models on the models page.

How it works

  • Nothing to edit. Old model IDs resolve to the new ones, so workflows, workspace defaults, member defaults, and conversation model pickers that named Sonnet 4.6 or Opus 4.6 now run on Sonnet 5 and Opus 4.8.
  • Native effort. Effort settings map to Anthropic's native effort parameter.
  • Pricing. Listed at $3 input and $15 output per million tokens for Sonnet 5, and $5 and $25 for Opus 4.8. Both accept images and files.

Earlier in June

  • MiniMax M3 replaced MiniMax M2.7, bringing a 512K-token context window and vision. Saved selections moved over automatically.
  • GLM 5.2 joined the catalog for agent work, with a 1M-token context window.
