Introducing specialists: AI workers that each own one job
General Input now runs on specialists. A specialist is an AI worker that owns one job in your business, such as weekly reporting or lead follow-up. You describe the outcome in your own words, it asks what it needs to know, and it builds and runs the skills, workflows, and apps the job takes. Projects became specialists and kept everything they held. Read why we made the change.
The model
- A Chief of Staff for every member. It answers questions across every connected tool, knows what each specialist owns, handles one-off work, and sets up new specialists for anything recurring.
- Every resource has one home. Each workflow, app, skill, file, and conversation lives in exactly one specialist.
- One page per specialist, holding its conversations, workflows, apps, skills, files, memory, and connected accounts.
- Memory and files. Each specialist keeps a plain-language memory of up to 12,000 characters for its rules and methods, and it never overwrites an edit it hasn't seen.
- Members and privacy. Sharing a specialist shares its resources, memory, and files; each member's conversations stay private.
Starting a specialist
Start from a setup conversation, or from one of 65 specialist templates, each built around a single job with its memory, sample files, skills, workflows, apps, and tests. Twenty-eight are workstream specialists for specific industries.
Nothing was deleted or turned off: each project became a specialist with the same contents, and loose work moved to each member's Chief of Staff.
Also shipped
- A Chat command palette in the sidebar: pick a specialist, then one of its conversations.
