Applied Epic integration: clients, policies, and activities
You can now connect Applied Epic, the agency management system for insurance agencies and brokerages, to General Input. Your specialists can look up and create clients and contacts, read and update policies and their lines, work marketing and carrier submissions, start renewals, log activities and tasks, file attachments, and read commission agreements and accounting layouts. Ask in chat for a client's policies, or build a workflow that lists every renewal due next month and opens a follow-up activity for each.
How it works
- You connect with your Applied Dev Center app. Paste the client ID and client secret of an app Applied has approved for your agency. Your specialists can reach the APIs that app subscribes to, and nothing else.
- Every Epic API in the Dev Center catalog is covered. All 366 operations across 30 live Applied Epic APIs are available, from the newer client, policy, activity, and attachment APIs to the older CRM, Policy, Configuration, Workflow Management, Forms, and Epic SDK modules, which reach general ledger receipts, journal entries, and claims.
- Each operation names its permissions and version. Every operation lists the scopes that allow it, or says its module needs none, and, where Applied requires one, the minimum Epic release, so a specialist knows up front why a call would be refused.
- Connecting only reads. When you connect, we confirm the app with Applied and read your agencies, branches, and departments, servicing roles, activity codes, and policy types and statuses. Nothing in Epic is created or changed.
