iPhone app opens smoothly, with Specialists tabs in place

In the iPhone app, Specialists is ready the moment the app opens. The Specialists and Snoozed tabs at the top of the list are in place from the first frame, instead of appearing a beat later and moving the list down. Scrolling or tapping right after launch no longer stutters while the app prepares the views you haven't opened yet.

How it works

• The top of the screen is laid out once. The room under the header comes from the screen measurements the app starts with, so the Specialists and Snoozed tabs no longer wait behind other work to move into place.
• The chosen tab is marked at once. The highlight behind the selected tab draws with the tab itself, and the sliding highlight takes over in the same spot once the tabs are measured.
• Work ahead takes turns. The app still prepares what you might open next, such as the Snoozed list, the conversations view, the Resources filters, and each specialist's conversations, so opening them stays instant. It now prepares them one at a time, and only when nothing else is happening, instead of all at once as the app opens.
