App databases now answer queries in about half the time
The databases behind your apps and workflows have moved to a faster home. Each one is still its own SQLite database, with the same tables, rows, and rules, and now it runs on its own small server on Cloudflare that answers queries directly. A query from an app or a workflow comes back in about half the time it took before, and a database that sat unused for a few minutes no longer makes its next query wait. Nothing changes in how you or your agent write SQL, and every existing database moved over with its data intact.
How it works
- About twice as fast. Measured from our servers, a simple read went from about 65 ms to about 32 ms, and a write takes about 50 ms.
- No slow first query after a pause. A database left alone for two minutes used to answer its next query in about 200 ms. Now it answers in under 80 ms.
- Same SQLite, same rules. Every limit your agent already follows still holds: 100 bound values per statement, statements up to 100 KB, and several statements sent together as one all-or-nothing batch.
- Your data came along exactly. Every row, rowid, index, view, trigger, full-text index, and AUTOINCREMENT counter was copied, and each table's row count was checked before its database went live.
