Build me an app my catalog manager works out of a few times a week to fix the Amazon listings that are quietly losing us sales. We have a few hundred SKUs, and listing problems go unnoticed for weeks because Seller Central spreads them across the Fix Your Products page, the listing quality dashboard and per ASIN edit screens, with no single prioritized queue and no competitor context. I want one screen that ranks the work, one pane that shows me what good looks like, and an editor that pushes the fix.

The main screen is a work queue of my listings, scored worst first. Build it from Search Listings Items in Amazon Seller Partner, filtered by status and issues, which is the operation designed for finding listings needing attention and surfaces suppressed, incomplete and policy flagged listings. On top of what Amazon reports, compute a content completeness score in the handler from Get Listings Item: missing or too few bullet points, a thin title, too few images, and empty backend search keywords. Each row shows the SKU and ASIN, a thumbnail, the issues Amazon reported, the completeness score with the specific gaps spelled out, and the listing's current state. Sort by the combined severity so the worst offenders are always at the top.

Selecting a listing opens a side by side pane. On the left, my live content from Get Listings Item: title, bullets, images and backend keywords. On the right, the top ranking competitor for the same keyword, found with Real-Time Amazon Data Search Products and expanded with Get Product Details, so I can compare title structure, bullet count and image count against what is actually winning that search. Below the competitor content, show that competitor's top reviews using Get Top Product Reviews so I can see which benefits buyers actually talk about and work them into my copy.

Use Get Top Product Reviews rather than Get Product Reviews. The top reviews operation returns the 8 publicly visible reviews with no cookie, while the full paginated version requires a logged in Amazon session cookie that I will not have.

Fire the competitor lookups when I select a listing, not eagerly for the whole queue. Read limits are generous on the listing side at roughly 5 requests per second for Get Listings Item and Patch Listings Item, but Search Catalog Items is only 2 requests per second with a burst of 2, so any queue wide prefetch will throttle. If you use Search Catalog Items to enrich my own ASIN with catalog data, keep it to the selected listing for the same reason.

In that same pane, give me an editor where I rewrite the title and bullets with the competitor content and review themes still visible while I type. Pushing a change goes through Patch Listings Item behind a confirmation step that shows a clear before and after of exactly what will change. Patch Listings Item takes JSON Patch operations, so only include the attributes I actually changed. Before every push, save the previous version so I can revert a bad edit back to the exact prior title and bullets.

Amazon accepts a listing patch asynchronously and the submission can still fail validation downstream, so never optimistically mark a listing fixed. Show the submission status returned by the push, then re-fetch the listing with Get Listings Item and reflect the real result, including any new issues Amazon now reports on it.

Persist each listing's state as needs work, fixed or ignored, along with who pushed the last fix and when, and the saved previous version for revert. The queue has to stay clean between sessions, so fixed and ignored listings drop out of the default view with a filter to bring them back. Because more than one person works this catalog, show who is currently working a listing and warn me before I open an ASIN someone else already has open, so two people never work the same ASIN.

Let me pick which marketplace to work in, and set the comparison keyword per listing, defaulting to the main keyword inferred from my own title.

What does this prompt do?

  • Builds one prioritized queue of the listings costing you the most sales, combining the problems Amazon itself reports (suppressed, incomplete, policy flagged) with a completeness score for thin titles, missing bullets, too few images and empty search keywords
  • Opens any listing side by side with the top ranking competitor for the same keyword, including that competitor's top reviews, so you can see which benefits buyers actually talk about before you rewrite
  • Gives you an editor for the title and bullets and pushes the change to Amazon behind a confirmation step, keeping the previous version so a bad edit is one click from being undone
  • Tracks every listing as needs work, fixed or ignored along with who pushed the fix and when, so the queue stays clean between sessions and two people never work the same product

What do I need to use this?

  • An Amazon Seller Central account with permission to view and edit your own listings
  • A Real-Time Amazon Data subscription (through RapidAPI) for pulling competitor listings and reviews
  • The marketplace you sell in, such as the US, so the app pulls the right catalog
  • A catalog big enough to lose track of, typically 50 to 500 products

How can I customize it?

  • Reweight the score so the gaps you care about rise to the top, for example treating a suppressed listing or a missing image as more urgent than a short bullet
  • Set the keyword each listing is compared on, or let the app infer it from your own title
  • Add states beyond needs work, fixed and ignored, such as waiting on photography or needs legal review

FAQs

Will this change my Amazon listings without asking me?
No. You review the rewritten title and bullets, see a before and after of exactly what will change, and nothing reaches Amazon until you confirm.
What happens if an edit makes a listing worse?
The app saves the previous title and bullets before every push, so you can restore the exact earlier version without retyping anything.
Can two people work the queue at the same time?
Yes. Each listing records its state and who last worked it, and the app warns you before opening a product someone else already has open, so you never duplicate each other's work.
Why does a listing still show a problem right after I fix it?
Amazon accepts listing edits in the background and validates them afterward, so a change can still be rejected downstream. The app shows the submission status and re-checks the listing instead of assuming the fix landed.
Does this work if I am not brand registered?
Yes for the queue and the competitor comparison, which read your own listings and public competitor pages. Which fields you can actually edit still depends on the permissions Amazon grants your account for each product.
