Browse and shortlist creators without burning audit credits
Search creators for free, shortlist the best with your team, and spend an audit credit only when you decide someone is worth a closer look.
I want an app my team uses to browse and shortlist creators without burning through our HypeAuditor credits. The main screen is a search surface: a search box plus a network filter for Instagram and TikTok, backed by HypeAuditor's Search Influencers (Suggester) operation. That search does not consume credits, so anyone on the team can search by niche, keyword and network as much as they like. Results render as a grid of creator cards showing the handle, the network and the headline follower stats the search returns.
Each result card has an Add to shortlist button. The shortlist is shared across the whole team and stored in Airtable: adding a creator writes a row with Create Records, and the app loads the current shortlist with List Records so everyone who opens the app sees the same candidates. Show the shortlist as its own view alongside the search results.
Every shortlisted creator gets an Audit button that kicks off a background agent. The agent spends one credit to pull the full report, using Get Instagram Report or Get TikTok Report depending on which network that creator is on. It reads the engagement rate and the audience authenticity out of the response and decides an audience quality verdict of Pass, Review or Reject. It writes the verdict, the engagement rate and the authenticity figure back into the app so the creator's card updates in place, and into that creator's Airtable row with Update Record. Use Update Multiple Records when several audits finish close together.
Credit economics are the heart of this app, so make the spend visible everywhere. HypeAuditor caches each report for 365 days, so show a last audited date on every card that has been audited. If someone clicks Audit on a creator who has already been audited, warn them first: explain that the existing report is still inside its cached year and that re-auditing spends another credit, and make them confirm before proceeding. The report response returns the remaining credit balance in result.restTokens. Display that as a running credit meter in the app header and refresh it after every audit, so nobody is surprised by a payment error mid session. If the API returns 402 Payment Required, show a clear out of credits message rather than a raw error.
Two details for the audit agent. A report can come back still building, which is an HTTP 202 with a retryTtl in seconds, and in that case the agent should wait that long and retry the same request rather than starting a fresh audit. HypeAuditor also refunds the credit when a report cannot be built because the account is private, restricted or too small, so mark those creators as unavailable in the app instead of showing them as a spent credit.
Finally, a Share shortlist button posts the current shortlist to a Slack channel using Send a Message. Send one tidy message that lists each shortlisted creator with their network, their verdict, and their engagement rate and authenticity numbers, with any creator who has not been audited yet clearly marked as unaudited.
What does this prompt do?
- Gives your team a search screen for finding creators by niche and network, which costs nothing to use, so anyone can browse as much as they like
- Keeps one shared shortlist in Airtable, so the whole team is looking at the same set of candidates instead of trading spreadsheets
- Adds an Audit button to every shortlisted creator that pulls a full audience quality report and returns a verdict of Pass, Review or Reject with engagement rate and audience authenticity
- Shows a last audited date on each card, warns you before paying to re-audit someone, and keeps your remaining credit balance visible so you never hit a surprise payment error
What do I need to use this?
- A HypeAuditor plan that includes API access. Searching for creators is free, and each full audience report uses one credit
- An Airtable base with a table for your creator shortlist
- A Slack workspace and a channel where the team wants the shortlist posted
How can I customize it?
- Adjust the engagement rate and authenticity thresholds behind Pass, Review and Reject to match your brand's bar
- Choose which networks appear in the search filter, Instagram, TikTok, or both
- Pick the Slack channel and change how the shared shortlist summary reads
