Build every client's monthly marketing report in one click
See every client's traffic, ad spend and search numbers on one screen, then let an agent write and design this month's report for you to approve.
Build me a client reporting studio for my marketing agency. We rebuild every client's monthly report by hand, it takes roughly two hours per client, and with twenty clients that is a full week of the team's month spent formatting instead of analyzing. The app should hold our client roster, show live numbers from all three of our data sources, and let an account manager produce and send a polished monthly report without exporting anything by hand.
The main screen is a client roster, one row per client. Each row shows the client name, the account manager who owns it, the three connected accounts (the Google Analytics property, the Google Ads account and the Google Search Console site), this month's headline numbers (sessions, conversions, ad spend and organic clicks) and the date we last sent that client a report. Include a filter so an account manager can narrow the roster to just their own clients, and default that filter to the person viewing the app. Visually highlight rows where no report has gone out yet this month, since that is the thing the team is actually scanning for.
Adding a client stores the client name, the owning account manager, one or more client contact email addresses, and the three account identifiers. Populate those pickers from the connected credentials rather than making people paste ids by hand: use List Account Summaries in Google Analytics for the property list, List Accessible Customers in Google Ads for the account list, and List Sites in Google Search Console for the verified sites. Persist all of this in the app so the roster survives between sessions. A client may legitimately have no Google Ads or no Search Console, so treat a missing source by omitting that section everywhere it would appear rather than erroring or rendering an empty panel.
Opening a client shows the current month against the previous month, pulled live. Use Run Report (GA4) in Google Analytics for sessions, conversions, users and the channel breakdown; Campaign Performance Report in Google Ads for clicks, impressions, cost, conversions, CTR and ROAS by campaign; and Search Analytics Query in Google Search Console for clicks, impressions, CTR and average position, including top queries and top pages. Show each metric with its current value, its prior month value and the percent change. Flag any metric that moved more than twenty percent in either direction, and make that threshold configurable. Both months must use the same day range and both requests must be derived from the same date logic, because misaligned date ranges slipping into a client deck is exactly the credibility problem this app exists to remove.
Each client page has a Build this month's report button that kicks off a background agent. The agent pulls all three sources for the reporting month and the month before, writes the narrative in four sections (what moved, why it moved, what we did about it, and what is next), then produces the client-ready document with Generate a Gamma using our agency theme so the output is branded and presentable rather than a raw data dump. The narrative must reference the actual numbers and call out the flagged movements by name instead of speaking in generalities.
Gamma generation is asynchronous and can take a while, so the button needs a clear pending state and the app must stay usable while a build runs rather than blocking on it. Let the person choose the report length before kicking it off, since Gamma bills credits per card plus image costs and a short monthly recap should not cost the same as a full quarterly deck. Surface an explicit failure state if a build does not complete, and allow a retry from the same place.
When the agent finishes, save the result back into the app against that client so every client accumulates a dated report library: the reporting month, the generated document link, who built it, when it was built, and its current status. Persist the Gamma document URL rather than an export download URL, because export links expire after about a week and this library needs to still open months later. Show the library on the client page, newest first.
Nothing goes out automatically. A generated report sits in the library marked as ready for review. The account manager opens it, checks it, and then clicks Send to client, which emails the link to that client's contacts using Send a Message in Gmail along with a short covering note the account manager can edit before sending. Once sent, record the sent date, the recipients and who sent it, mark the report as sent, and update the last report sent date on the roster row. There must be no code path where a report reaches a client without a person clicking send.
What does this prompt do?
- One row per client showing the accounts attached to it, this month's sessions, conversions, ad spend and organic clicks, and the date you last sent a report, with a filter down to just your own clients.
- Open any client to see this month against last month across analytics, paid search and organic search, with any number that moved more than 20 percent flagged for you.
- Hit Build this month's report and a background agent pulls all three sources, writes the narrative of what moved and why, and designs a branded, client-ready report.
- Every report is saved to a dated library for that client, so you always have the full history in one place.
- Nothing reaches a client automatically. An account manager reviews the finished report and hits Send to email it over.
What do I need to use this?
- A Gamma account on a paid plan (Pro, Ultra, Teams or Business), which is what unlocks report generation
- Google Analytics access to each client's property
- A Google Ads login that can see your client accounts
- Google Search Console access to each client's verified site
- A Gmail account to send finished reports from
How can I customize it?
- Change the 20 percent movement threshold, or set a different threshold per metric so small numbers stop triggering flags
- Pick the report length and image quality before each build to control how many Gamma credits it uses
- Reword the narrative sections, or scope the roster so each account manager only sees the clients they own
- Edit the covering note that goes out with the report link before you send it
