Every weekday at 8am, give me a morning eBay order briefing so I start the day knowing what sold overnight and exactly what needs to ship today.

First, pull my recent eBay orders with Get Orders, filtering for orders that were created or last modified in the last 24 hours. Include each order's fulfillment status so you can tell what has already shipped from what is still awaiting shipment, along with the order total, buyer, line items, and ship-by (handling time) date.

Then read through the orders and write a clear briefing. Report how many new orders came in and the total revenue across them, then list which orders are still awaiting shipment. Group everything by fulfillment status so I can see at a glance what needs to ship today. Call out anything urgent or unusual: flag any order that is past its handling time or ship-by date, and highlight any order that is unusually high in value compared with the rest of the batch.

Post the formatted briefing to my Slack channel using Send a Message. Put the headline numbers, new order count and total revenue, at the top, then show the status groups as separate sections using Slack formatting so they are easy to scan, with the awaiting-shipment orders listed under their own heading and the flagged and high-value orders clearly marked.

Finally, log every order from this run as a new row in my Google Sheets sales ledger using Append Values, so I keep a running record over time. Each row should capture the order id, buyer, items, order total, ship-by date, and current status. Append below the existing rows rather than overwriting, so the ledger keeps growing day after day.

If no orders were created or updated in the last 24 hours, still post a short Slack note letting me know there were no new orders overnight, and skip the Google Sheets step for that run.

What does this prompt do?

  • Pulls your eBay orders created or updated in the last 24 hours, every weekday morning.
  • Summarizes how many new orders came in, total revenue, and what is still waiting to ship, grouped by status.
  • Flags any order that is past its ship-by date or unusually high in value so you know what to prioritize.
  • Posts the briefing to Slack and logs every order to a Google Sheets sales ledger you can sort and report on.

What do I need to use this?

  • An eBay seller account connected to the workflow.
  • A Slack workspace and the channel where you want the morning briefing posted.
  • A Google Sheets spreadsheet to use as your running sales ledger.

How can I customize it?

  • Change when it runs, for example seven days a week or later in the morning.
  • Point the briefing at a different Slack channel, or a private channel just for you.
  • Adjust what counts as a high-value order, or add extra columns to the sales ledger.

FAQs

What time does the briefing arrive?
By default it runs every weekday at 8am and posts to Slack shortly after, but you can change the schedule to any time or have it run on weekends too.
Which orders are included?
It looks at eBay orders that were created or updated in the last 24 hours, so you see what came in and what changed overnight.
How does it decide what to flag?
It calls out orders that are past their handling time or ship-by date, and orders that are unusually high in value compared with the rest of the batch, so you know what to prioritize.
Will it keep a history of my orders?
Yes. Every order is added as a new row in your Google Sheet, so you build a running sales ledger you can sort, filter, and report on over time.
What happens if there were no new orders overnight?
You still get a short Slack note letting you know there was nothing new, so you always know the check ran.
