Daily Salesloft cadence triage digest for every rep

Every weekday morning your team gets one Slack digest naming the people each rep should chase today, ranked by account value and real engagement.

Every weekday at 8am in our team's timezone, triage my team's Salesloft cadences and tell each rep exactly who to chase today. Run this as an agent on a cron trigger, Monday through Friday only.

Start with Salesloft List Cadence Memberships to pull the people currently enrolled and active on our cadences, along with the rep who owns each enrollment and the account the person belongs to. Sort by updated_at descending and cursor forward on that field rather than walking deep page numbers. Salesloft enforces 600 cost points per team per minute and requests for high page numbers cost several points each, so a large cadence list will burn the whole budget if it is paged naively. Stop once you have covered enrollments updated in roughly the last 30 days.

For each enrolled person, cross-reference engagement using List Activities and List Emails over the engagement lookback window. Count how many touches have gone out and look for any signal coming back: opens, clicks, replies, answered calls, booked meetings. Then call List Tasks to pick up anything already overdue for those people, so the digest also surfaces work that has quietly slipped.

Do not dump everything you find. Rank it. Order candidates by account value first, using List Accounts to pull company size or revenue where it is available, and then by the recency of the most recent engagement signal, so a large account that opened something yesterday outranks a small one that went quiet last week. Group the ranked results per rep.

Post one prioritized digest to Slack with Send a Message, to the channel I nominate. Structure it per rep, with the rep's name as a heading and at most ten people underneath. Give each person a single line: their name, their company, and a one-line reason they are on today's list, for example 'opened twice yesterday, still no reply' or 'task overdue by 3 days'. Send one message for the whole team, not one message per rep.

For anyone you judge genuinely stalled, also create a Salesloft task with Create Task, assigned to the rep who owns the enrollment and due today, recommending either a channel switch or removal from the cadence, with a one-line justification. Treat stalled as five or more touches with zero opens and zero replies over fourteen days or more. Before creating a task, check the open tasks you already pulled with List Tasks, so a person flagged on a previous run never gets a duplicate task.

Keep these as clearly stated, adjustable knobs at the top of the workflow so I can tune them without rewriting anything: the stalled touch threshold (default 5), the silence window in days (default 14), the engagement lookback window (default 14 days), the maximum people listed per rep (default 10), the target Slack channel, and the send time. If a rep has nobody worth chasing, say so in one line rather than dropping them from the digest, and if the whole team is clear, still post a short message confirming the check ran.

What does this prompt do?

  • Checks who is currently enrolled in your Salesloft cadences and how each person has responded to recent touches.
  • Ranks the people worth chasing today by account value and by how recently they showed any sign of interest, then folds in anything already overdue.
  • Posts one Slack digest grouped by rep, capped at ten names each, with a one line reason next to every name.
  • Spots the genuinely stalled prospects and creates a Salesloft task suggesting a change of channel or removal from the cadence.

What do I need to use this?

  • A Salesloft account with cadences your team is actively running
  • A Salesloft login that can see your team's cadences, activity and tasks
  • A Slack workspace and a channel where the morning digest should land
  • Optional: a rough sense of what makes an account high value for your team, so the ranking matches how you sell

How can I customize it?

  • Change the send time or the days it runs, for example 7:30am or Monday to Thursday only
  • Adjust when someone counts as stalled. The default is five or more touches with no opens and no replies over fourteen days
  • Change how many names appear per rep, or send each rep a direct message instead of posting one shared channel digest

FAQs

Does this send anything to my prospects?
No. It only reads your cadence activity and posts a summary to Slack. The single thing it writes back into Salesloft is an internal task for the rep, suggesting a next step. Nothing goes out to a prospect without a human sending it.
What counts as stalled?
By default, five or more touches with zero opens and zero replies over fourteen days or more. Both numbers are knobs you can change, so if your cycle is longer you can raise the window to twenty one or thirty days.
Will every rep get their own message?
By default it posts one digest to a shared channel, grouped by rep, so managers can see the whole picture at a glance. If you prefer, you can switch it to send each rep a direct message with only their own list.
Will it create the same task every morning?
No. Before it creates a task it checks the open tasks already sitting in Salesloft, so a person who was flagged yesterday will not get a second duplicate task today.
We run a lot of cadences. Will it be slow or hit limits?
It works from the most recently updated enrollments first rather than crawling through every page of history, which keeps it well inside what Salesloft allows and keeps the digest fast even for large teams.
