Build me a morning briefing workflow for financial advisors. It should run on a cron every weekday (Monday through Friday) at 7:30am in my local timezone.

On each run, the agent should pull today's picture from Wealthbox by calling these operations in parallel where possible:

1. Wealthbox List Tasks, filtered to tasks due today and not completed.

2. Wealthbox List Events, filtered to calendar entries that start today.

3. Wealthbox List Opportunities, looking for any opportunity with an action item due today or a stage that changed in the last 24 hours.

4. Wealthbox List Contacts, scanning for any contact whose special date (birthday, anniversary, or client-since date) falls on today's month and day. Special dates are documented at https://help.wealthbox.com/hc/en-us/articles/36851428257435-What-are-contact-record-Special-Dates.

Then reason about what matters most and group items by client so each person shows up once with all their meetings, tasks, opportunities, and special dates attached, instead of four separate lists.

Post a single Slack message via Send a Message to the channel or DM I choose during setup. Structure it like this: a one-line header with today's date and a quick count (e.g. "3 meetings, 5 tasks, 2 special dates"), then a Meetings section with each event and the linked contact, then a Tasks section ranked by urgency and due time, then an Opportunities section if any have action items or recent stage changes, then a short "Remember to wish" line for any birthdays or anniversaries. Skip any section that is empty.

Keep the tone concise, professional, and skimmable. Use Slack mrkdwn formatting: bold the headers, use bullets for each item, and link every meeting, task, and contact back to its Wealthbox record (the web URL is https://app.crmworkspace.com/contacts/{id}, /tasks/{id}, /events/{id}, /opportunities/{id}). No emojis other than one optional sun or coffee icon in the header.

Use the Slack integration (slug: slack), not slackbot, so the message is attributed to me. If there is nothing to report (no meetings, no tasks, no opportunities, no special dates), still send a short "Clear morning, no Wealthbox items for today" message so I know the workflow ran.

Additional information

What does this prompt do?
  • Pulls today's Wealthbox meetings, tasks due today, opportunities with action items, and any client whose birthday, anniversary, or client-since date lands today.
  • Groups everything by client so you see one block per person instead of four scattered lists.
  • Posts a single Slack message at 7:30am with meetings first, then tasks ranked by urgency, then a remember-to-wish line for birthdays and anniversaries.
  • Links each item back to its Wealthbox record so you can jump straight to the contact or task without searching.
What do I need to use this?
  • A Wealthbox account with permission to see your tasks, events, opportunities, and contacts.
  • A Slack workspace and the channel or direct message you want the briefing sent to.
  • Your timezone, so 7:30am means 7:30am where you actually live.
How can I customize it?
  • Change the send time, days of the week, or timezone if your morning routine is different.
  • Send it to a private DM, a team channel, or a client-services channel depending on who needs to see it.
  • Tighten or widen what shows up: skip opportunities, include tasks due in the next two days, or add a section for overdue items.

Frequently asked questions

Will this replace the Wealthbox Daily Digest email?
It can. The Slack briefing covers the same surface area as the native email digest but is delivered where most advisors already work, in Slack, and is grouped by client rather than by record type.
Can I get this as a direct message instead of a channel post?
Yes. You can point it at any Slack channel or send it as a DM to yourself. Most advisors prefer a personal DM so the briefing is private.
Does it include client birthdays and anniversaries?
Yes. It checks your Wealthbox contacts for special dates that fall today, including birthdays, anniversaries, and client-since dates, and adds a short remember-to-wish line at the bottom.
What if I work weekends or a different schedule?
The schedule is fully customizable. You can run it weekdays only, every day, or just on the days you choose, at any time and in any timezone.
Will the message link back to Wealthbox?
Yes. Each meeting, task, and contact in the briefing includes a link back to the record in Wealthbox so you can open it in one click.

Walk into your day already prepped.

Connect Wealthbox and Slack once, and your morning briefing lands at 7:30am every weekday without you logging into the CRM.
