Design and publish key art for every Eventbrite event
See which upcoming events are still running placeholder art, generate three directions for the one you pick, and publish the winner straight to the listing.
Build me an app my events team opens every time we put an event on sale. It is the one place we check whether every upcoming Eventbrite listing has real key art on it, and the place we make and publish that art. Nobody should have to open the Eventbrite dashboard to change a listing image.
The home view is a board of every upcoming event, read from Eventbrite List Events by Organization (live and started events, upcoming only). Each card shows the event title, the venue and start date, how many days until doors, and tickets sold so far, counted from List Orders by Event. Each card also shows the current listing image as a thumbnail. Put a loud badge on any event whose logo is missing entirely or is one of our known placeholder images, saying the listing is running without key art. Sort the board soonest on sale first, because a missing image on the next event on sale is the one costing us ticket sales. Let me filter to just the flagged ones, and show a count at the top like "Four upcoming listings are missing key art".
Picking an event opens a detail page. Read the full event with Retrieve Event expanded to venue, plus Get Structured Content for the long description, and show the title, date, venue, summary and description alongside the current image. There is a Generate directions button: it takes the event title, date, venue and description, writes three genuinely distinct visual concepts (for example a bold typographic one, a photographic atmosphere one, and a graphic or illustrated one) and calls Generate Image with aspect ratio 16:9 once per concept, since Eventbrite listing hero art is landscape. Show the three results side by side at 16:9, each labelled with its concept name and the prompt used, plus buttons to regenerate a single direction or nudge it with a note like "warmer, less blue".
Approving a direction publishes it to the listing in one click. Treat that as a single publish artwork handler, not three steps the user has to walk through: call Get Media Upload Instructions, PUT the image bytes to the returned upload URL with the returned fields, finalize with Create Media Upload to get the image id, then set that id as the event logo with Update Event. Show one progress state while it runs and the refreshed listing image when it is done. Hard rule: if the event already has real artwork on it, meaning anything we have not flagged as placeholder, do not publish until I confirm in a dialog that shows the current image and the new one side by side and states plainly that the existing artwork will be replaced. Placeholder or missing art can publish without that extra confirm.
Once a direction is approved, offer a Make the social pack action. It regenerates the approved direction at 1:1 and 9:16 with Generate Image, reusing the same concept prompt so all three ratios read as one campaign. Then file everything into Google Drive: create a folder for the event with Create Folder, named for the event and its date, inside a parent "Event key art" folder I choose once in settings, and upload the 16:9 hero plus the 1:1 and 9:16 variants into it with Upload File (Multipart), named clearly like event-name-16x9.png. Before creating the folder, check with List Files whether a folder for that event already exists and reuse it instead of making a duplicate. Show the Drive folder link on the event so the team can grab sized assets for stories and feed posts.
Bake in series consistency. If an event belongs to a series, use List Events by Series to find its siblings, and if any sibling already has an approved direction saved in the app, show it on the detail page as the approved look for this recurring night and default the generation prompt to that same style so a monthly night stays visually consistent across dates. I still want to be able to override it and start fresh.
Add a Build the promo kit button on every event card and on the detail page that kicks off a background agent. The agent reads the event with Retrieve Event and Get Structured Content, checks the series for an approved style with List Events by Series, picks one visual direction on its own, generates the full set with Generate Image at 16:9, 1:1 and 9:16, creates or reuses the event's Google Drive folder with Create Folder and List Files, uploads all three with Upload File (Multipart), and writes a short caption pack back into the app: one listing blurb, one feed caption, one stories line, each with a couple of hashtag suggestions. The captions land in an editable panel on the event so the marketer can rewrite them, and the generated hero waits as a proposed direction for a person to approve and publish rather than going live by itself. Show the agent's progress in the app and the finished kit when it lands, and never let the agent publish over existing artwork.
Store per event in the app: the approved direction and the prompt behind it, all generated candidates, the Drive folder id and link, the caption pack, and who approved what and when, so the board can show an art approved state and a small history. Keep the whole thing fast to scan and image forward, with the flagged events impossible to miss.
What does this prompt do?
- Puts every upcoming event on one board, soonest on sale first, with days until doors, tickets sold so far, and a loud flag on any listing still running placeholder or missing artwork.
- Generates three key art directions side by side from the event's own title, date, venue and description, so you settle on a look in a minute instead of a week.
- Publishes the approved image straight onto the Eventbrite listing without anyone opening the dashboard, with a confirm step so existing artwork is never quietly replaced.
- One button hands the whole job to a background assistant that picks a direction, makes every size, files them into a folder per event in Google Drive, and writes caption drafts back into the app for you to edit.
What do I need to use this?
- An Eventbrite account that manages the events you put on sale
- A Google Drive account, and a folder where per event artwork folders should live
- Image generation is built in, so there is no separate design tool or subscription to add
- A rough sense of your house style, colours and mood, so the directions come back on brand
How can I customize it?
- Set your house style once, describing your colours, type and mood, and every direction is generated in that look
- Choose the parent Drive folder the per event folders are created in, and how the finished files are named
- Adjust what counts as a placeholder image and how far ahead the board looks
