When a new contact is created in LeadConnector, I want that lead enriched, scored, and routed before anyone on my team touches it. Trigger this workflow from a LeadConnector webhook on the ContactCreate event.

Start by taking the contact id from the webhook payload and calling LeadConnector Get Contact, so you are working from the full current record rather than only the fields the webhook happened to include. You want the email address, first and last name, phone, company name, and website if it is set.

Enrich the person with Apollo People Enrichment using the contact email address. Then work out the company domain: use the website field on the contact if it is populated, otherwise take the domain from the email address. If that domain is a free consumer mailbox provider such as gmail.com, outlook.com, yahoo.com or hotmail.com, treat it as having no company domain instead of enriching the mailbox provider itself. When you do have a real company domain, call Apollo Organization Enrichment on it. Across the two lookups, collect job title, seniority, company employee count, industry, and location.

Score the lead against my ideal customer profile, described at the end of this prompt, and assign exactly one tier: hot, warm, or cold. Write a short fit summary plus the specific reasons for the score, referencing the enriched attributes you actually found rather than generic praise.

Write the results back to LeadConnector. Use Update Contact to save the enriched fields (job title, seniority, company size, industry, location) onto the contact record, mapping them to my custom fields where I have them. Use Add Tags to Contact to apply the tier tag, one of hot, warm, or cold. Use Create Contact Note to log the full scoring reasoning, including any enriched values that had no matching field, so a rep opening the record can see exactly why it was tiered that way.

Only when the lead scores hot, send a Slack message to my sales channel with the contact name, company, the fit summary, and the specific reasons it scored high, so a rep can call within minutes. Keep Slack completely silent for warm and cold leads. They are still enriched, tagged, and noted in LeadConnector, but the channel needs to stay signal only or the team will stop reading it.

If Apollo returns no match for the person and no match for the organization, do not guess or infer the missing data. Tag the contact as unenriched with Add Tags to Contact, log a note saying enrichment found no match, skip the tier tag entirely, and do not post to Slack. If only one of the two lookups matched, score with what you have and state plainly in the note which half was missing, so the score can be read with the right amount of confidence.

My ideal customer profile is: [describe your ICP here, for example 50 to 500 employees, B2B software or professional services, decision maker titles such as founder, VP Sales or Head of Marketing, based in North America or the UK]. My sales channel is [#your-sales-channel]. Note that Apollo People Enrichment and Apollo Organization Enrichment each consume Apollo credits, so call each at most once per contact and do not retry them on a match miss.

What does this prompt do?

  • The moment a new contact is created in LeadConnector, we look up their job title, seniority, company size, industry and location, so nobody has to research the lead by hand.
  • An agent scores the lead against your ideal customer profile and tags the contact hot, warm or cold.
  • The enriched details are written back onto the contact record, and the reasoning behind the score is saved as a note your reps can read before they call.
  • Only hot leads post to your sales channel, with the name, company, fit summary and why they scored high, so a rep can call within minutes.

What do I need to use this?

  • A GoHighLevel or LeadConnector account you can connect, with permission to update contacts, tags and notes
  • An Apollo account for the lookups (each person and company lookup uses Apollo credits)
  • A Slack workspace and the channel your reps actually watch
  • A short written description of your ideal customer profile, so the agent knows what hot means for you
  • Optional: custom fields on your contacts to hold the enriched details such as seniority and company size

How can I customize it?

  • Rewrite the ideal customer profile description to change what counts as hot, warm or cold
  • Rename the tier tags, or point the hot alerts at a different Slack channel
  • Loosen the bar so warm leads also reach Slack, or tighten it so only the very best fits do
  • Choose which enriched details get written into contact fields versus left in the note

FAQs

How quickly does a new lead get scored?
It starts the moment the contact is created in GoHighLevel rather than on a schedule, so the tag, the note and any Slack alert are normally in place well inside two minutes. That is the whole point: a rep can call while the lead is still on your site.
What happens if there is no data available on the lead?
The contact gets tagged as unenriched and a note explains that no match was found. The agent never invents a job title or company size to fill the gap, and no Slack alert goes out, so a thin lead is obvious rather than disguised as a scored one.
Do warm and cold leads still get tagged?
Yes. Every lead is enriched, tiered and given a note explaining the score. The difference is only in Slack: warm and cold stay silent so the channel remains something your reps trust and actually read.
Does this use up my Apollo credits?
Yes. Looking up the person and looking up their company each consume Apollo credits, and this runs once per new contact. If you import large contact lists into GoHighLevel, be aware that every new contact triggers a lookup.
Do I need to set up custom fields in GoHighLevel first?
It helps but is not required. If you have fields for things like seniority, company size and industry, the enriched values are written into them. Anything without a matching field still appears in the note on the contact.
Will this work if my leads use personal email addresses?
Partly. Personal addresses such as Gmail still get a person lookup, but there is no company domain to research, so the note will say the company half was missing and the score reflects only what was actually found.
