Meta ads creative testing board with AI image variants
Open one board each week to see which Meta ads are wearing out, generate fresh image options, and launch the winners without leaving the page.
I want an app I open every week to decide which Meta ads to refresh and what to launch next. It is a creative testing board that puts live performance numbers, an image generator and a publish path on one screen, so I stop reading metrics in Ads Manager, making images somewhere else, and re-uploading by hand.
The main view is a board covering one Meta Ads ad account. Use Meta Ads List Campaigns and List Ad Sets to build the campaign and ad set structure, using List Campaign Ad Sets when I have drilled into a single campaign, then List Ad Set Ads for the ads under each ad set. For every ad, pull spend, impressions, click through rate and cost per result with Get Insights scoped to that ad, and show those numbers on the ad row next to its current creative thumbnail. Let me switch the reporting window, defaulting to the last 7 days, and let me filter to active campaigns and ad sets only.
Rank the ads so fatiguing creatives sort to the top. Compare the current window against the immediately preceding window of the same length, and score each ad on click through rate decline, cost per result increase and total spend, so the ads burning the most money while getting worse lead the board. Show the direction of travel on each row, for example last 7 days click through rate against the 7 days before it, and let me re-sort by fatigue score, by spend or by cost per result.
Clicking a tired ad opens a variant panel beside the board. It shows that ad's current creative and its numbers at the top, then a box where I describe the new angle I want to try in plain language. Generating fires a batch of image options through Black Forest Labs Generate Image FLUX 1.1 [pro], four at a time by default, and fills a grid as each one finishes. Give me a control to step up to Generate Image FLUX 1.1 [pro] Ultra when I need high resolution, and a reframe action on any option that runs Expand Image FLUX.1 Expand [pro] to hit a placement aspect ratio such as 1:1 feed, 4:5 feed or 9:16 story.
Every generated variant must stay linked to the ad it was derived from, along with the exact prompt text I wrote, the model used, the aspect ratio and when it was generated. I want to reopen an ad weeks later and see every angle already tried and how each one was worded, so the board doubles as a record of what we have tested and I never repeat a losing angle.
Selecting the winners publishes them in a strict order: Upload Ad Image to get an image hash, then Create Ad Creative referencing that hash, then Create Ad inside the ad set I picked. Before the Create Ad step, render Get Ad Creative Previews inside the app and require me to view that preview and confirm, so nothing ships unseen. Show progress through the three steps and halt the sequence with a clear message if any step fails, leaving the variant marked as not launched.
When a client or manager needs to sign off first, I need a save instead of launch path. Saving a batch pushes the selected images to Google Drive with Upload File (Multipart) into a folder I choose, naming each file after the source ad and the angle I described, and records on each variant that it went out for approval rather than going live. Generate JPEG output so files stay under the multipart upload size limit.
A few practical things to get right. Meta ad account IDs carry the act_ prefix. The Meta connection may only have read access, so if the write permission is missing the board must degrade gracefully to read only reporting and generation, with the publish action disabled and an explanation shown, rather than erroring. Black Forest Labs generation is asynchronous, so submit the task and poll Get Result until it reports ready. Its delivery URLs expire roughly ten minutes after generation, so download and persist each image immediately instead of storing the link. Meta validates image specs at create time, which is exactly why the reframe step matters before anything is uploaded.
What does this prompt do?
- Lists your active Meta campaigns, ad sets and ads with spend, click through rate and cost per result, so the creatives that are wearing out rise to the top of the board
- Pick a tired ad, describe the new angle you want to try in plain language, and get a batch of fresh image options back in seconds
- Reframe any option to the shape a placement needs, then preview the finished ad inside the board before it goes anywhere
- Push the winners live into the ad set you choose, or save the batch to Google Drive when a client or manager needs to approve first
What do I need to use this?
- A Meta Ads account with campaigns running that you can connect
- Permission to create ads in that account if you want to launch from the board. Read only access still gives you the full reporting and image generation side
- A Black Forest Labs account with credits available for image generation
- A Google Drive account if you want to save batches for sign off instead of launching
How can I customize it?
- Change how fatigue is scored, such as the length of the comparison window or the drop in click through rate that flags an ad as tired
- Choose which campaigns and ad sets the board shows, for example only active ones or a single client account
- Set how many image options each batch generates and which placement shapes you reframe to by default
