One-screen customer lookup for your ActiveCampaign data
Search any customer by name or email and see lifetime spend, every order, open deals, and their company record on a single screen.
Build me a customer lookup app on top of ActiveCampaign so our support and account management team stops tab-hopping every time someone asks what a customer has actually bought. Everything lives in ActiveCampaign; there are no other integrations.
Search screen. A single search box where the user types a name or an email address. Use List Contacts with its search and filter options to find matching contacts, and List E-Commerce Customers to find matching store customers. Show results as a compact list with name, email, and company if known, and let the user click through to a profile. Handle the case where a store customer exists with no matching contact, and the reverse, rather than showing an empty screen.
Profile screen. This is the heart of the app: one screen per customer, joining the e-commerce customer record to the contact record on email address. A header block shows name, email, phone, company, and any tags on the contact. Next to it, three prominent stats: lifetime spend, total order count, and last order date. Make last order date visually prominent because that is the question that actually gets asked on a call.
Order history. Below the header, list that customer's orders from List E-Commerce Orders filtered to their e-commerce customer id, sorted newest first. Each row shows order date, order total, and item count. Compute lifetime spend and order count from this same data. Clicking a row expands it inline to show the line-item breakdown fetched from List E-Commerce Order Products by Order. Fetch those line items lazily, only when the user expands an order, not for every order upfront.
Deals and company. A section for the customer's open deals from List Deals, showing deal title, value, stage, and owner. A section for the company record from List Accounts, or Get Account when you already hold the account id, showing company name and account details. Both sections should degrade gracefully to an empty state when the customer has no deals or no linked account.
Actions from the same screen. The user must be able to act without leaving the profile. Add Tag to Contact behind quick buttons to flag someone VIP or at-risk. Update Contact to fix a wrong phone number, name, or email. Create Deal to open a renewal or upsell, prefilled with the customer's name, contact id, and account so the user only has to set value and stage. After any action succeeds, refresh the affected section so the screen reflects the change immediately.
Recently viewed. Persist a per-user list of recently viewed customers, most recent first, shown on the search screen so account managers can jump straight back into the handful of customers they work daily. Scope it per user, not per organization, and cap it at a sensible length such as ten.
Important API nuance. All monetary values in ActiveCampaign, including order totals, line item prices, shipping, tax, discounts, and deal values, are returned in cents, so 10000 means $100.00. Divide by 100 and format as proper currency everywhere; never render a raw cents value. E-commerce records are tied to an external store connection registered in ActiveCampaign, so this app assumes the org already syncs store data in. The API is rate limited to 5 requests per second per account and returns 429 with a Retry-After header, which matters because the profile screen fans out across several list calls. Respect Retry-After, avoid firing all sections in one uncontrolled burst, and keep the lazy per-order line-item fetching so an order-heavy customer does not blow the budget on load.
What does this prompt do?
- Search by name or email and land on one profile that answers what a customer has actually bought, without opening five tabs.
- Shows lifetime spend, total order count, and the last order date up front, with full order history sorted newest first.
- Expand any order to see the line-by-line breakdown of what was purchased, with every amount formatted as real currency.
- Pulls open deals and the company record onto the same screen, so you know the account context before you reply.
- Lets you flag a customer VIP or at-risk, correct a wrong name or phone number, and open a renewal or upsell deal right from the profile.
What do I need to use this?
- An ActiveCampaign account login
- Store data already syncing into ActiveCampaign from Shopify, WooCommerce, or a similar connected store, since that is where purchase history comes from
- Contact records that use the same email addresses as your store customers, so the two sides match up
- Deals and company records in ActiveCampaign if you want those sections of the profile to fill in
How can I customize it?
- Change which tags the flag buttons apply so they match how your team labels accounts, for example swapping VIP and at-risk for your own naming
- Set which pipeline and stage new renewal or upsell deals land in, and what the deal gets named by default
- Adjust how many customers stay in the recently viewed list, or which details appear in the profile header
