Turn today's Granola meeting notes into TickTick tasks
Every weekday at 6pm, the commitments you made in meetings become TickTick tasks with real due dates, no duplicates, and a tidy Slack recap.
Every weekday at 6pm, review the meeting notes I captured in Granola that day and turn the commitments I personally own into TickTick tasks, then post one recap in Slack.
Start with Granola List Notes filtered to notes created today. For each note that comes back, call Granola Get Note to pull the full summary and the attendee list. If no notes were created today, stop the run without creating tasks and without posting anything.
Read each summary and extract only the action items that are mine to own. Leave out general discussion points, decisions that need no follow-up from me, and commitments that clearly belong to someone else on the attendee list. Use the attendees to judge ownership when the summary says something like "Dana will send the contract". If a note contains no action item of mine, skip that note rather than inventing one to fill space.
Before creating anything, call TickTick List All Projects to locate my work project, then call TickTick Get Project Data on it. That returns only undone tasks, which is exactly the comparison list I want. Drop any action item that already exists as an open task there, and collapse a commitment that came up in more than one of today's meetings into a single task instead of one per meeting. Match on meaning rather than exact wording, since the same commitment is rarely phrased identically in two different notes.
Create each surviving item with TickTick Create Task in that project. Write a title that still makes sense weeks later, away from the meeting it came from. Put the meeting name, the meeting date, and one line of context into the task content so I can tell where the commitment came from. If the note mentions a deadline, set the due date to it in ISO 8601 form like 2026-02-23T09:00:00+0000. If no deadline was stated, leave the due date empty rather than guessing one. Map urgency onto TickTick priority values, which are only 0 for none, 1 for low, 3 for medium, and 5 for high. The values 2 and 4 are not valid in TickTick.
Finish with a Slack Send a Message recap, posted as the bot to my chosen channel or direct message. Group it by meeting: the meeting name as a heading, then the tasks created under it, each with its due date and priority in plain words rather than raw numbers. Add a short closing line naming anything that was skipped as a duplicate, so I can see the deduplication is working. If the day produced no new tasks at all, send nothing. I do not want an empty recap arriving every evening.
What does this prompt do?
- Reads every meeting note you captured in Granola that day and pulls out only the follow-ups that are yours to own, not every point that came up.
- Checks the tasks already open in your work project first, so a commitment you made in two different meetings becomes one task instead of two.
- Creates each task with a due date taken from the deadline actually discussed and a priority that matches how urgent it sounded.
- Posts a single end of day recap in Slack grouped by meeting, and stays completely quiet on days that produced nothing.
What do I need to use this?
- A Granola account on the Business or Enterprise plan, since connecting Granola to other tools is not available on Free or Pro.
- A TickTick account, plus the project you want work follow-ups to land in.
- A Slack workspace where the evening recap can be posted, either to a channel or as a direct message to you.
How can I customize it?
- Change the 6pm run time, or have it run only on the days you actually take meetings.
- Point it at a different TickTick project, or split client work and internal follow-ups into separate lists.
- Choose where the recap lands and how much detail it carries, from a one line count to full task context per meeting.
