Every Monday at 9am, build a social performance digest from bundle.social covering the previous seven days, append the raw numbers to a Google Sheets tab, and post the written summary to Slack.

Start by pulling the posts. Use Get post list for my team, filtered to POSTED status with a date range covering the last seven days. Analytics in bundle.social are cached, so if freshness matters call Force refresh post analytics and Force refresh social account analytics before reading the numbers.

Then fetch engagement in one shot. Use Get Bulk Post Analytics to pull likes, comments, shares and views for those posts in a single request instead of looping post by post. It handles up to 60 posts per paginated request, which comfortably covers a normal week, and note that it paginates with page and pageSize rather than offset and limit. Use the normalized analytics operations, not the raw ones: the raw endpoints return untransformed platform payloads whose shape varies per platform and they are the wrong source for this.

Next, get account level movement. Enumerate the connected accounts with Get team, then call Get Social Account Analytics for follower, reach and impression movement on each connected account.

The ranking rule is the important part. Do not rank posts by raw like counts. Compute an engagement rate for each post and judge it relative to that platform's own baseline for the week, for example engagement measured against the account's follower count or reach and then compared to the median for that platform. A strong LinkedIn post and a strong TikTok post look nothing alike numerically, so a post only counts as a winner if it beat the normal range for its own platform.

Call out the top three and the bottom three posts on that normalized basis. For the top three, say explicitly what the winners have in common across format, hook style, posting time and media type. For the bottom three, give the most likely reason each underperformed. This synthesis is the whole point of the digest, so do not just dump a table of metrics.

Append one row per post to a Google Sheets tab using Append Values, so the raw numbers accumulate into a trend history I can chart over months. Each row should carry the post date, platform, account, post id or link, format, media type, likes, comments, shares, views, the computed engagement rate, and the platform baseline it was measured against. Only ever append, never overwrite existing rows.

Finally, post the written summary to my marketing channel in Slack with Send a Message. Structure it as: a headline on how the week went overall, follower, reach and impression movement per connected account, the top three with why each won, the bottom three with the likely reason, and the common thread across the winners. End the message with exactly one concrete recommendation for what to publish more of this week.

What does this prompt do?

  • Pulls everything you published in the last seven days across every connected social account and gathers likes, comments, shares and views for each post
  • Scores posts against their own platform's normal range, so a strong LinkedIn post and a strong TikTok post can finally be compared fairly
  • Names your top three and bottom three posts and explains what the winners share in format, hook style, posting time and media type
  • Logs one row per post to a Google Sheet so your numbers build into a trend history you can chart over months, and posts the write-up to Slack with one clear recommendation for the week

What do I need to use this?

  • A bundle.social account with your social accounts already connected
  • A Slack workspace and a channel where the Monday digest should land
  • A Google account and a spreadsheet with a tab set aside for the running log

How can I customize it?

  • Change the day and time it runs, or widen the lookback from one week to two weeks or a month
  • Send the digest to a different channel, or to several channels for different teams
  • Highlight more or fewer posts than the top three and bottom three, or focus the report on a single platform

FAQs

Which social platforms does this cover?
It covers whichever accounts you have connected in bundle.social, which supports 15 platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, X, Threads, Pinterest and Bluesky. Accounts you have not connected are simply left out of the report.
Why does it rank posts by engagement rate instead of likes?
Raw like counts are misleading when you publish to several platforms, because audience sizes and normal engagement levels differ enormously. A post that gets 40 likes on LinkedIn may be a genuine hit while 40 likes on TikTok is a flop. Scoring each post against its own platform's typical performance is the only way to see which content actually worked.
Will it overwrite the numbers already in my spreadsheet?
No. It only ever adds new rows to the bottom of the tab, so your history stays intact and keeps growing week after week. That is what makes it possible to chart trends over months.
Do I need a paid Google Workspace plan?
No, an ordinary Google account and a normal Google Sheet are enough.
What if I did not post anything last week?
The digest will tell you there was no activity in the period rather than inventing numbers, and nothing new gets added to the spreadsheet.
