Changelog
Specialists send files of any size, videos included
Specialists can now send you files of any size from their workspace: a rendered video, a zip of exports, a large spreadsheet or dataset. Before, a file over 64 MB failed to send, and files close to that size could time out on the way. Now the specialist's sandbox uploads the file straight to storage, so it arrives the same way at any size and appears in the conversation as an attachment you can open or download. Browse specialist templates for ones that produce reports and media.
How it works
- Large files go up in parts. A big file is split into parts that upload in parallel, and a part that drops is sent again on its own instead of restarting the whole file.
- Nothing arrives half-sent. We check what was stored against the file before it appears in the conversation. A file that changed while it was sending is removed, and the specialist sends it again.
- Specialist files hold up to 50 MB, the same limit as files you upload to a specialist yourself. A specialist that tries to save something larger is told so, and sends it to you instead.
- Each upload link works for one file only, and only for a short time, so a link can never reach anything else in storage.
Also shipped
- Files a workflow run sends land in the run's artifacts at any size.
- Test files staged for a workflow's trigger inputs use the same upload.
