Resources: every specialist's work in folders you can search

Inside a specialist, its apps, deliverables, workflows, and skills now sit in one list beside the documents you and the specialist saved, and you can sort all of them into folders. Resources opens on every specialist as a folder, and one search reaches every file, folder, app, and workflow you can open. The Resources tab in the iPhone app works the same way.

How it works

  • Folders. Drag anything into a folder or choose Move to folder. Folders nest, and deleting one moves what was inside up a level instead of deleting it. Anyone who can edit a specialist can arrange it; everyone else can browse.
  • Rows or a grid. Rows show each item's art, its kind, when it changed, and a file's size, and sort by name or date from the column titles. Chips narrow the list to one kind across every folder and show how many of each there are, with empty kinds last.
  • Search. Press / on Resources, or ⌘K anywhere, and results say which specialist and folder each one is in.
  • Add from your phone. Tap + in a folder to upload photos or files, each with its progress, or to start a new task with the specialist. A file named like one already there is kept beside it, never over it.
  • Always current. When someone adds, renames, or moves something, it shows up on your screen without a refresh, and specialists can tidy their own files into folders when you ask.

Also shipped

  • Links to the old Apps, Workflows, Skills, and Deliverables pages open Resources narrowed to that kind.
  • geni specialist files gains mkdir, mv, rename, and rmdir.
