Yahoo Mail integration: read, search, and send email
You can now connect a Yahoo Mail account to General Input. Your specialists can find and summarize messages, read attachments, file or delete mail, and send email from your Yahoo address, the same way they already work with Gmail and Outlook. A new trigger starts a workflow whenever an email arrives in a Yahoo Mail folder, so a receipt, a lead, or a message from a particular sender can start work on its own. See Yahoo Mail to connect it.
How it works
- You connect with an app password. Yahoo lets you create a password just for General Input on its Account Security page. Your real Yahoo password never reaches us, and deleting the app password disconnects General Input without changing anything else.
- Reading never changes your inbox. Opening a message or downloading an attachment leaves it unread until you ask a specialist to mark it.
- New email trigger. Watch any folder, optionally narrowed to a sender or a subject. We check about once a minute and continue from where the last check stopped, so a message never starts a workflow twice.
- Mail goes out from your own address. Sends carry CC, BCC, and attachments, and a reply can stay in the original thread.
- Each workflow reaches only its own account. A workflow can use only the Yahoo connection it was set up with, and every use appears in that connection's access history.
