One sandbox rate of 80 credits an hour, everywhere

Every sandbox in General Input now bills the same way: 80 credits an hour, charged by the second. The sandbox is the computer your agent uses to run commands and work on files. Workflow runs, apps, designs, and connected clients all use one rate now, and conversations with a specialist, which never billed for sandbox time before, join them. See pricing for how credits work.

Conversations also get faster. A chat now keeps its sandbox warm for two minutes after each reply, so a follow-up continues on the same machine, with its files and running commands intact, instead of starting a new one.

How it works

  • One rate, whatever runs it. The price no longer depends on the sandbox's size or provider, and moving providers never moves a bill.
  • By the second, with no minimum. The old minimum charge per sandbox use is gone, so a short run pays only for its seconds.
  • Chats bill from first use. A reply that never touches the sandbox pays nothing for it. The meter starts at the first command or file, and runs to the end of the reply.
  • Warm time is billed up to two minutes. Time a sandbox waits for your next message bills until you send it, or for two minutes at most.
  • Runs may cost more. Workflow runs and designs paid about 47 credits an hour before, so a long run costs roughly 70% more.

Also shipped

  • Checkpoints still save every reply, so a sandbox that expires restores your files on the next message.
