Build me an internal support app for tracking down transactional emails in Brevo. The person using it is a customer support agent who has no Brevo login and no interest in email jargon. They open this app the moment a customer says "I never got the email", and it has to answer three things fast: did the message reach them, what did it actually say, and what do I do now.

The main screen is a message lookup. At the top is a single search box for a recipient email address. When the agent searches, use Brevo List Transactional Emails filtered to that recipient to show every transactional message we sent that person, newest first. Each result is a row showing the template name, the subject line, when it was sent, and a plain English status such as "Delivered and opened", "Bounced, the address does not exist", or "Blocked before sending". Use color to separate healthy rows from failures, and default the list to the last 30 days with a control to widen the window.

Clicking a row expands it into two panels. The left panel is the delivery timeline for that message, built from Brevo Get Email Event Reports for that recipient and message. Show every recorded event in order with its timestamp: delivered, opened, clicked, soft bounced, hard bounced, blocked, marked as spam, unsubscribed. The right panel is the exact copy the customer received, from Brevo Get Transactional Email Content, rendered so the agent can read the real personalized version including the merged name, link or code, not the raw template. Give them a way to copy the subject line and body text.

Translation is the most important part of this app. Never show a raw event code or status number. Every event becomes a sentence the agent could paste to a customer with no edits. For example, a hard bounce becomes "This address does not exist on the receiving mail server, so the message could not be delivered. Please confirm the spelling of the address with the customer." A block becomes "This address is on your suppression list from an earlier bounce, so nothing will reach it until you remove it." A soft bounce becomes "The receiving mailbox was temporarily unavailable, often because it is full. It is worth trying again." A spam complaint becomes "The customer marked an earlier message as spam, so their provider is filtering us. They will need to check their spam folder and mark us as safe." Delivered but never opened becomes "The message reached their inbox but has not been opened yet, so ask them to check their spam or promotions folder."

Every failure state must show a clear next action, not just a status. Under each explanation, put the recommended step as a button or a short instruction: resend to the same address, resend to a corrected address, ask the customer to check their spam folder, or escalate. Never leave the agent looking at a dead end.

From any message the agent can resend. A resend button opens a small confirmation that shows which template is going out and lets the agent either keep the original recipient address or type a corrected one, which is the common case when the customer mistyped their address at signup. Send it with Brevo Send Transactional Email using the same template and the same personalization values as the original message, then confirm on screen that it went out and add the new message to the list.

The agent can also escalate a stuck case. An escalate button posts to a support channel using Slack Bot Send a Message, and the message must include the recipient address, the template name, the last recorded event with its timestamp, and a one line summary of what the agent already tried. Let the agent add a short note before it sends, and let the Slack channel be configured in a settings area rather than hardcoded.

A second tab is a template health board. Pull our templates with Brevo List Email Templates and pair each one with event data from Brevo Get Email Event Reports over the last seven days. Rank templates by combined bounce and blocked rate, worst first, so a broken template gets caught before the tickets pile up. Each row shows the template name, how many were sent, and the delivered, bounced and blocked rates, with an obvious red state when a template crosses a threshold you let the user set. Give special prominence to the critical templates such as password resets, receipts and order confirmations, since a failure there generates support tickets immediately. Clicking a template shows the recent failing messages for it, and each of those links back into the message lookup view for that recipient.

Keep the scope tight to message delivery forensics. This is not an account status tool, so no billing, subscription or payment data anywhere in it. Remember each agent's recent searches so they can jump back to a case they were working, and make the whole thing readable by someone who has never heard the words soft bounce before.

What does this prompt do?

  • Search any customer email address and get every transactional message you sent that person, newest first, with a plain English status on each one
  • Expand a message to see its full delivery story in sentences your team can paste straight to a customer, plus the exact personalized copy that customer received
  • Spot broken templates early with a health board that ranks your password resets, receipts and order confirmations by bounce and block rate over the last seven days
  • Resend a message to the same address or to a corrected one, and escalate a stuck case to your support channel in Slack without leaving the screen

What do I need to use this?

  • A Brevo account that sends your transactional email, such as password resets, receipts and order confirmations
  • A Slack workspace where your team handles support escalations
  • Nobody on the support team needs a Brevo login of their own

How can I customize it?

  • Change which templates the health board watches and how far back it looks, so seasonal or low volume templates do not skew the ranking
  • Set the bounce and block rates that turn a template red, and pick the Slack channel escalations land in
  • Reword the customer-facing explanations to match your own support tone and house style

FAQs

Do my support agents need their own Brevo login?
No. That is the point of this app. It connects to Brevo once, and your agents just search by email address. They never see the Brevo interface or need a seat.
What does it mean when a message shows as blocked?
It usually means the address landed on your blocked list after an earlier bounce or spam complaint, so nothing new will reach it until the address is removed from that list. The app says exactly this in plain language and tells the agent what to do next.
Can I see the actual email the customer received, not just the template?
Yes. Each message shows the real personalized copy that went to that specific person, so you can confirm whether a name, link or code came through correctly.
Will resending create a duplicate if the first one actually arrived?
The app shows you the delivery history before you resend, so you can see whether the original was delivered or opened first. You can send to the same address or type in a corrected one if the customer gave you a typo.
Does this work with marketing campaigns too?
This is built for transactional email, the one to one messages triggered by an action such as a password reset or an order confirmation. Campaign reporting is a different job and stays out of scope here.
