Daily AI job-match digest with tailored cover-letter drafts
Every weekday at 8am, score new job postings against your resume, draft tailored cover letters, and email yourself a ranked digest with apply links.
Build me a personal job-hunt copilot that runs every weekday at 8am in my local timezone.
Configuration I will provide: (1) a list of saved searches, each with a role/keyword, a location, and a remote preference (remote-only, hybrid-ok, onsite-ok); (2) the name of my master resume Google Doc and the Google Drive folder it lives in; (3) my target comp range; (4) the email address the daily digest should go to (defaults to my connected Gmail).
On each run, do the following:
1. Load my master resume. Use Google Drive List Files to locate the resume doc by name inside the configured folder, then Google Drive Export Google Workspace File to grab its plain text. Cache the resume text for the rest of the run.
2. For each saved search, call JSearch Search Jobs filtered to postings from the last 24 hours, honoring the location and remote preference. Collect every posting across all saved searches.
3. De-duplicate against postings I have already been shown. Maintain a list of seen job IDs in workflow memory; drop any posting whose job ID is already on the list and add new job IDs after the digest is sent.
4. Score each new posting for fit against my resume on four dimensions: skills overlap, seniority match, location/remote fit, and comp range vs my target. Keep only the top 3 to 5 matches overall.
5. For each top match, call JSearch Get Job Details to pull the full description and the apply link.
6. For each top match, use Gmail Create a Draft to stage a tailored cover letter addressed to the hiring team. The letter should reference specific bullets from my resume that map to the posting's must-haves and call out one concrete reason I am a strong fit. Do not send these. They stay as drafts so I can review and polish them before sending.
7. Use Gmail Send a Message to email me a single morning digest. For each top match include: job title, company, fit score out of 100, a one-line why-it-fits, the apply link, and the URL to the corresponding Gmail draft so I can open it in one click. Order matches by fit score descending. If no new matches cleared the bar, send a short note that says so.
Other rules: only the daily digest gets sent; cover letters are always drafts. Keep the digest concise and skimmable on a phone. If JSearch returns zero new postings for a saved search, note it briefly at the bottom of the digest rather than skipping silently.
