Build me an agent workflow that runs every weekday at 8am ET and turns fresh hiring activity at my target accounts into a prioritized Slack digest plus HubSpot follow-up tasks. Use a cron trigger (the underlying job-data source is pull-only, so polling is the right pattern).

Step 1 — Pull target accounts from HubSpot. Use the HubSpot Search Companies operation, filtered by a company property called target_account = true (or whichever saved list / property name I configure at setup). Fetch the company id, name, domain, hubspot_owner_id, and any relevant industry/segment fields. Page through all results.

Step 2 — For each target account, call Coresignal's Search Jobs (Filter) — Base operation to find job postings created in the last 7 days at that company. Match the company by domain when possible (fall back to company name). Filter to a configurable list of high-signal job titles I provide at setup. Sensible defaults to seed: VP of Sales, Director of Sales, Head of Sales, RevOps, Sales Operations, AI Engineer, ML Engineer, Head of AI, Head of Machine Learning, Security Engineer, Head of Security. Also accept a list of custom keywords I can add. Prefer the base dataset for speed across a high-volume target list; only fall back to multi-source if filter-search can't express the role attributes I need. For any matching ids, call Collect Job by ID — Multi-source to get the full posting (title, location, job url, created_at) so the message can link the AE straight to the role.

Step 3 — Skip any company with zero new matching postings. Do not post a 'nothing to report' message. For each company that does have one or more new matching postings:

3a. Post a Slack message to a channel I configure at setup (default #buying-signals) using Slack's Send a Message operation. The message should include: the company name (bolded), the count of new openings, the list of role titles (with links to the Coresignal job posting url or job id so the AE can dig in), a one-to-two-sentence plain-English explanation of why this is a buying signal for my product (e.g. 'They're scaling outbound — VP Sales + 2 AE roles posted this week'), and a suggested talking point the AE can paste into a first email or LinkedIn message.

3b. Create a HubSpot Task on the company record using the Create Task operation. Subject: 'Hiring signal: <N> new <bucket> roles at <Company>'. Assign the task to the company's hubspot_owner_id. Set the due date to 2 business days out. Include the same talking point and role list in the task body, and link back to the Slack message permalink so the rep has one source of truth.

Order the Slack digest so the strongest signals appear first (more new openings, or higher-weighted role buckets like VP Sales > AE > IC engineering). Keep each message tight; if more than ~10 companies qualify in one run, send a single summary message at the top of the thread with the full ranked list and post per-company detail messages in the thread below it.

Configuration I want to be able to tweak: the HubSpot property or list that defines my target accounts, the high-signal role list, the custom keyword list, the Slack channel, the lookback window in days, the task due-date offset, and the days of week / time of day the workflow runs.

Additional information

What does this prompt do?
  • Sweeps your HubSpot target accounts every weekday morning and finds the ones that just opened roles signaling real buying intent.
  • Posts a ranked Slack message per company with the new openings, why it matters in plain English, and a talking point your AE can actually use.
  • Creates a follow-up HubSpot task on each flagged account and assigns it to the company owner so the signal lands in someone's queue.
  • Stays quiet when there's nothing new, so the channel only fires when there's a real reason to reach out.
What do I need to use this?
  • A HubSpot account with your target accounts tagged or saved to a list, and company owners assigned.
  • A Coresignal account with API access on a plan that includes job-posting data.
  • A Slack workspace and a channel like #buying-signals where the digest should post.
  • Your shortlist of high-signal job titles (think VP of Sales, RevOps lead, Head of AI, Head of Security, plus any keywords specific to your motion).
How can I customize it?
  • Change the send time, time zone, or run days (for example, Tuesday through Thursday only).
  • Edit the list of high-signal job titles and keywords so it matches the buying triggers for your product.
  • Swap the Slack channel, route different account segments to different channels, or also DM the account owner.
  • Adjust the lookback window (the default is the last 7 days of new postings) or the task due date offset.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a buying signal?
A target account opening roles that suggest they're about to spend on the problem you solve. Hiring a VP of Sales hints at scaling outbound. Posting RevOps roles often precedes a CRM or tooling overhaul. New AI or ML roles signal an AI initiative. You can edit the role list to match your own signals.
Do I need to maintain my list of target accounts manually?
No. The workflow pulls accounts from HubSpot using either a company property like target_account, or a saved list you point it at. As long as you keep that source up to date, the digest stays in sync.
Will my channel get spammed with empty digests?
No. The workflow only posts companies that actually have new matching postings since the last run. If nothing qualifies, it stays quiet that day.
Can I change which Slack channel it posts to?
Yes. The channel is a setting you pick when you connect Slack, and you can change it anytime. You can also route different account tiers to different channels.
Why use Coresignal instead of scraping careers pages?
Coresignal aggregates job postings across the public web into one searchable dataset, so you don't have to maintain scrapers for every company's careers site. It's also faster and more reliable for sweeping a large target-account list each morning.
