Every weekday at 7am in my local timezone, prepare me for the meetings I have booked in Salesloft that day and email me the full set of briefs before my first meeting starts.

Start by using Salesloft List Meetings to pull every meeting whose start time falls within today, from midnight to midnight local time. Sort them chronologically by start time. If there are no meetings today, stop and send nothing. Cap the briefing at the first 8 meetings of the day so a heavy day does not turn into an unreadable email; if there are more than 8, write full briefs for the first 8 and add a short list at the end of the email naming the remaining meetings with their times and attendees.

For each meeting, resolve the people involved with Salesloft List People, matching on the attendee email addresses on the meeting record. Then resolve the company behind those people with Salesloft List Accounts. Skip meetings where every attendee is an internal colleague, since those do not need a deal brief.

To understand what has already happened with each person, use Salesloft List Activities to pull their recent calls and emails from roughly the last 90 days. I want to know the shape of the relationship: how many touches, when the last meaningful one was, who reached out to whom, and anything that was left open or promised.

Next, pull the deal context from Salesforce, which is my CRM of record. Use Get Many Opportunities to find the open opportunity tied to each company, matching on the account name and the attendee email domain, and read the stage, amount, expected close date, and next step. Use Get Many Accounts to pull the matching company record for owner, industry, and size. If no opportunity matches a given meeting, say so plainly in the brief rather than guessing, and still give me everything else.

Then do light web research on each company using Search the Web. I am looking for recent and specific signals from roughly the last six months: funding rounds, acquisitions, product launches, leadership changes, layoffs, or notable press. Two or three genuinely relevant items per company is plenty. If nothing credible and recent turns up, write that there is nothing notable rather than padding the section.

Write one brief per meeting, about a page each, in this order: the meeting time and who I am meeting including their title and company; where the deal stands with stage, amount, expected close date, and next step; what has happened across prior touches summarized as a short narrative rather than a raw activity dump; the recent company news with a source link for anything I might quote back; and finally three suggested questions to ask, written for the stage that deal is actually at, so an early discovery call gets different questions than a late stage negotiation.

Send all of the briefs to me as a single email using Gmail Send a Message, ordered by meeting start time, with a subject line carrying today's date and the number of meetings. One email only, never one per meeting.

Finally, log a condensed version of each brief back onto the relevant person in Salesloft using Create Note, associated with that person record. The note should be a few tight lines covering the deal status, the most relevant piece of company news, and the three suggested questions, so the context lives in the record and not only in my inbox. Do not modify the meeting, the person, or any cadence; the note is the only thing written back.

One note on assumptions worth stating: this assumes Salesforce holds the opportunity data behind Salesloft meetings, which is the standard pairing. If I run a different CRM, swap the Salesforce lookups for the equivalent contact and deal search in that system and leave everything else the same.

What does this prompt do?

  • Checks Salesloft each weekday morning and pulls every meeting booked for that day, along with who is attending and which company they work for.
  • Builds a one-page brief per meeting covering where the deal stands (stage, value, expected close date), what happened across previous calls and emails, and any recent company news, funding, or leadership changes.
  • Adds three suggested questions to ask in each meeting, written for the stage that deal is actually at.
  • Emails you the full set before your first meeting starts, and saves a condensed version onto each contact in Salesloft so the context lives in the record too.

What do I need to use this?

  • A Salesloft account where your meetings, contacts, and companies are tracked
  • A Salesforce login, used to pull the deal stage, value, and expected close date behind each meeting
  • A Gmail account to send yourself the morning email
  • Meetings booked in Salesloft, since that is where the workflow reads your day from

How can I customize it?

  • Change the 7am send time, or run it seven days a week instead of weekdays only
  • Cap how many meetings get a full brief on a busy day, or skip internal meetings and only brief external ones
  • Send the email to a manager or the wider account team as well as yourself
  • Point the deal lookup at a different CRM if your team does not run Salesforce

FAQs

Does this work if we use HubSpot instead of Salesforce?
Yes. The deal context step just needs a CRM that holds your opportunities, so you can point it at HubSpot, Pipedrive, or whichever system your team uses. Salesforce is the default here because it is the most common pairing with Salesloft.
What happens on a day when I have no meetings booked?
Nothing is sent. The workflow only emails you when there is at least one meeting on the day, so it will not clutter your inbox on a quiet morning.
What if a meeting gets booked after the 7am email goes out?
That meeting will not be in the brief, since the email reflects what was on the books at 7am. If your calendar moves a lot, you can add a second run later in the morning to catch late additions.
Does it change anything in Salesloft?
It adds one short note to each contact you are meeting that day, summarizing the deal status, recent company news, and the suggested questions. It does not edit meetings, contacts, or cadences.
What happens if a meeting has no matching deal in the CRM?
The brief says so plainly rather than guessing. You still get the attendee details, the history of previous calls and emails, and the company research, so an early conversation is still worth walking into prepared.
Will it make things up about the company if there is no news?
No. If the research turns up nothing credible and recent, that section simply says there is nothing notable, instead of padding the brief with filler.
