Every weekday at 8am, generate a briefing for the events team on how ticket sales are pacing across our upcoming Eventbrite events, and post it as a single message in Slack.

First, pull every event that is currently live and starting within the next 60 days from Eventbrite using List Events by Organization. Skip past events, drafts, cancelled events, and anything starting more than 60 days out.

For each event, use Eventbrite's List Ticket Classes to get capacity and tickets sold per class (capacity is on quantity_total and sold count is on quantity_sold), and use List Orders by Event to see how many orders came in over the last 24 hours.

Then reason across the whole set of events and flag anything that needs attention today. Look for events on pace to sell out, events lagging their expected curve given days until the event (event start is on start.utc), events with zero new orders in the last 24 hours, and events within a week of the event but under 50 percent sold.

Post one Slack message with Slack's Send a Message action. Lead with a short headline like '3 events need attention today', then a prioritized bulleted list. For each flagged event include the event name, sold vs capacity (e.g. 128 of 200), days until the event, and a one-line recommended action such as boost paid promo, send a reminder to the waitlist, share a discount code, or reach out to co-hosts. If nothing needs attention, post a short healthy-status message instead.

Keep the message scannable: a headline plus a short prioritized list, not a table dump. The value here is the prioritization, not the raw numbers.

Additional information

What does this prompt do?
  • Pulls every live Eventbrite event starting in the next 60 days and reads capacity, tickets sold, and recent order volume for each one
  • Reasons across the whole calendar to flag events on pace to sell out, events lagging their curve, and events with no new orders in the last 24 hours
  • Posts one prioritized Slack message with a headline, sold vs capacity, days until each event, and a one-line recommended action per event
  • Runs automatically every weekday at 8am so the events team walks in knowing exactly where to focus
What do I need to use this?
  • An Eventbrite account with an organization and upcoming events
  • A Slack workspace and the channel where the daily briefing should be posted
How can I customize it?
  • Change the schedule to run daily, only certain days, or at a different time
  • Pick which Slack channel or direct message receives the briefing
  • Tune the 'needs attention' rules, such as the sold-through target or the days-out threshold
  • Adjust the 60-day event horizon or the 24-hour lookback for new orders

Frequently asked questions

Will this include past events or draft events?
No. The briefing only looks at events that are live and starting in the next 60 days, so past events, cancelled events, and drafts are skipped.
What if none of our events need attention today?
You get a short healthy-status message instead of a padded list, so the team can scan and move on.
Can this post to a private Slack channel?
Yes, but the Slack bot needs to be a member of the private channel first. Public channels work out of the box.
Does it change anything in Eventbrite?
No. This is read-only. It reads events, ticket classes, and orders to write the summary and does not modify any Eventbrite data.
Can I run it more than once a day?
Yes. You can add a mid-day run, change it to a Monday-only briefing, or trigger it on demand from Slack.

Stop pulling ticket numbers by hand every morning.
