Influencer campaign war room for campaigns still in flight
One board for every live influencer campaign, flagging the ones losing steam and handing your team a diagnosis and a next step.
I want a war room app for influencer campaigns that are still in flight. My influencer team opens it in our Monday standup and every morning during a launch week, so it needs to be a surface people work out of rather than a report they read once.
The main view is a board of active campaigns. Pull the campaign list and their headline metrics from Later Get Campaign Performance, and pull the pace for each one from Later Get Instance Performance Over Time bucketed by day so every row can carry a small trend line. Each row shows the campaign name, the owning account manager, engagement over the last seven days, engagement over the seven days before that, the percent change between the two, and a status chip reading healthy, flagged, or dismissed. Sort flagged campaigns to the top so the board opens on the problems.
The flag is a campaign losing pace against itself, not against a roster average. Compare the last seven days to the prior seven days for that same campaign and flag it when the engagement drop is larger than the threshold the team configured. When requesting those two windows, set dateBasis to performance_date rather than the default post_date, because this comparison is about when engagement was recorded, not when the post was published. Later requires metrics on every performance route, dates are YYYY-MM-DD in UTC, and campaignIds accepts at most 50 ids per request, so batch the reads if there are more than 50 active campaigns.
Do not hardcode the threshold. Give the app a settings panel where the team sets the percent drop in engagement that counts as underperformance, defaulting to around 20 percent, and let them also set an absolute engagement rate floor so a campaign can be flagged for falling under a hard number, which is how teams tend to phrase their own decision rules. Settings are shared across the team and apply to the whole board.
Clicking a campaign opens a detail view. Show the individual posts from Later Get Post Performance, ordered so the weakest performers against their own campaign average surface first, and show the channel split from Later Get Platform Performance for both the recent window and the prior one, so it is obvious whether a single platform is dragging the average down. Note that platform selects a whole family, so instagram covers instagram_post, instagram_reel and instagram_story, and that platform and contentType are mutually exclusive, so send only one of them on a given request.
Every flagged campaign gets a Diagnose and assign button that kicks off a background agent. The agent pulls that campaign's posts and platform split across both windows, works out what actually changed, and classifies it as one weak post, a platform mix problem, or a broad slowdown across the campaign. It writes the finding back into the app so the campaign card and detail view show the diagnosis along with who ran it and when. It opens a follow up in Asana with Create a Task, assigned to the owning account manager, putting the finding and the recommended next step in the task notes with a due date a couple of days out. Then it posts the call to action in the team channel with Slack Bot Send a Message, naming the campaign, the one line diagnosis, and the account manager who now owns the follow up.
People also need to dismiss a flag. Dismissing asks for a short reason and records who dismissed it and when, after which the campaign stops resurfacing as flagged so the team is not relitigating the same call every standup. Keep dismissed campaigns visible under a dismissed filter with their reason attached, and let someone restore one to the active board if they change their mind.
One important constraint: the Later integration is the Influence Reporting API and it is read only, every route is a GET. Nothing can be paused or edited in Later from this app. The app's outputs are the Asana task, the Slack message, and the state it holds itself, which is the thresholds, the diagnoses, and the dismissals.
What does this prompt do?
- Lists every campaign still running side by side with how its engagement is pacing over the last seven days versus the seven days before
- Highlights campaigns whose engagement has dropped past a threshold you set yourself, so standup starts with the ones that actually need attention
- Opens any campaign to show the individual posts and the split by platform, so you can tell whether one channel is dragging the average down
- One click on a flagged campaign runs a background helper that works out what changed, writes the finding into the board, opens an Asana follow up for the account manager, and posts the call to action in Slack
What do I need to use this?
- A Later Influence account with reporting access enabled by your Later account team
- An Asana workspace and the project where follow up tasks should land
- A Slack workspace and the channel your influencer team works out of
How can I customize it?
- Set the drop in engagement that counts as underperformance, so launch weeks can run tighter than always on campaigns
- Choose which Asana project follow ups land in and who they get assigned to
- Pick the Slack channel where the call to action gets posted
