Every Monday at 8am, review our Adobe Acrobat Sign account for agreements that are still out for signature but have stalled, and post a prioritized nudge list to our operations channel in Slack.

Use Adobe Sign's Search Agreements operation to find every agreement currently in IN_PROCESS status that was last modified more than five days ago. Explicitly filter out agreements in any terminal status (SIGNED, COMPLETED, CANCELLED, EXPIRED, REJECTED) since only in-progress agreements need chasing.

For each stalled agreement, call Get Agreement Members to pull the full participant list so we can identify the sender and the specific signer who is currently holding things up. Track how many days have elapsed since the agreement was last modified so we know how long each one has been waiting.

Group the results into three staleness buckets: over 2 weeks, over 1 week, and over 5 days. Within each bucket, sort with the oldest agreement first. For every entry, include the agreement name, the sender, the outstanding signer, and how long it has been waiting.

At the top of the digest, call out the truly urgent contracts before the buckets. Prioritize based on age (the longest-stalled) and any signal in the agreement name that suggests high value (renewals, large enterprise deals, named strategic customers). For each highlighted contract, suggest a specific next step: nudge the outstanding signer, cancel and reissue if the signer looks unreachable, or escalate back to the sender if we cannot make progress externally. This prioritization and phrasing is the whole point of the workflow, not a table dump.

Post the entire digest as a single Slack message to our operations channel using Slack's Send a Message operation. Use Slack mrkdwn formatting so the priority callouts sit on top, the three buckets read as clear sections, and each entry is easy to scan on mobile.

Additional information

What does this prompt do?
  • Finds every Adobe Acrobat Sign agreement still out for signature that has not moved in more than five days.
  • Pulls the sender, current outstanding signer, and time waiting for each stalled agreement.
  • Groups the list into over two weeks, over one week, and over five days buckets so the worst offenders are visible first.
  • Posts a single Slack message to your operations channel that calls out the highest-priority contracts at the top with a suggested next step.
What do I need to use this?
  • An Adobe Acrobat Sign account with agreements going out for signature.
  • A Slack workspace and the channel where your team reviews stuck contracts.
  • A rough sense of which agreements are highest value so the digest can flag the truly urgent ones.
How can I customize it?
  • Change the schedule if Monday morning is not when your team reviews contracts.
  • Adjust the staleness buckets (default over five days, over one week, over two weeks) to match your own signing cycle.
  • Point it at a different Slack channel, or ask it to call out specific senders or contract types separately.

Frequently asked questions

Will this cancel or automatically nudge signers?
No. The digest only summarizes what is stuck and suggests a next step for each contract. A human still decides whether to nudge, cancel and reissue, or escalate to the sender.
Does it include agreements that are already signed, completed, cancelled, expired, or rejected?
No. Those are terminal states and get filtered out. The digest only surfaces agreements that are still in progress and waiting on someone.
What counts as stalled?
By default, anything still out for signature that has not moved in more than five days. Agreements are then bucketed into over five days, over one week, and over two weeks so you can triage the worst ones first.
Can we run it more often than weekly?
Yes. Daily or every weekday works the same way. Weekly is the default because most sales and ops teams review contract pipelines once a week.
Does it work if our Adobe Sign account is on a European or Asia-Pacific data center?
Yes. It uses whichever Adobe Sign account you connect, so European, Asia-Pacific, and North American accounts all work without extra setup.

Stop letting contracts stall in Adobe Sign.

Get a prioritized Slack nudge list every Monday morning so your team knows exactly which agreements to chase and how.
