One screen with an account's full revenue story before a call
Type a customer's name or email and get their plans, recurring revenue, upgrade and churn history, invoices and open deals on a single screen.
I want an app my customer success team opens before every account call. It is one search box: I type a customer's name or email address and land on a single screen that shows everything about that account's revenue, so nobody has to piece the story together across tabs. This is a lookup console for one account at a time, with no schedule and no trigger.
Search runs against ChartMogul. When the input looks like an email address, use Search Customers by Email. Otherwise use List Customers and match on name. If more than one customer matches, show the matches as a short pick list with company name, contact email and current MRR so the CSM can choose the right one, then open that account. ChartMogul customers are referenced by uuid (cus_...), and list endpoints are cursor paginated with per_page capped at 200, so page through rather than assuming one response holds everything.
Once an account is selected, load its screen from ChartMogul: Retrieve a Customer for the profile (company, contact, country, currency, status and a link back to ChartMogul), List Customer Subscriptions (Metrics) for current plans and MRR, List Customer Activities for the history of upgrades, downgrades, churn and reactivations, List a Customer's Invoices for billing history, and Retrieve a Customer's Tags and Attributes for the tags and custom attributes already on the account.
Lay it out as a header with the account name, status, currency and current MRR, then panels beneath: current plans and their individual MRR, an activity timeline sorted newest first that visually distinguishes expansion from contraction and churn, an invoice table with date, amount and paid status, and a tags and attributes panel. If a customer has no invoices or no recorded activity, show a plain empty state rather than a blank panel.
Alongside the revenue data, pull the matching HubSpot record so the CSM sees revenue and sales context together. Match ChartMogul customers to HubSpot companies on email domain: take the domain from the ChartMogul customer's email and use Search Companies to find the company with that domain. Then use Search Deals to show open pipeline for that company, with deal name, stage, amount, close date and owner. If no HubSpot company matches the domain, show a clear unmatched state saying so, with a manual search box to link the right company, rather than guessing at a company by name.
From the same screen the CSM can act without navigating away. In ChartMogul: Add Tags to a Customer, Update a Customer's Custom Attributes, and record the conversation with Create a Note or Call Log. In HubSpot: schedule follow up with Create Task, or capture context with Create Note, both associated to the matched company. And share a short account summary to a channel with the Slack Send a Message action, pre-filled with account name, current MRR, recent activity and open pipeline, and editable before it sends.
ChartMogul returns monetary amounts as integers in cents, so convert them and format every amount in that customer's own currency instead of assuming dollars. Label MRR clearly as a monthly figure. After any write action, refresh the affected panel so the CSM immediately sees the tag, attribute, note or task they just created.
What does this prompt do?
- Gives your customer success team one search box: type a customer's name or email address and land on a complete account view, no tab switching before a call
- Shows the money side in full: current plans and monthly recurring revenue, the history of upgrades, downgrades, cancellations and reactivations, and past invoices
- Puts sales context next to revenue by pulling the matching company record and its open deals from your CRM, matched on email domain
- Lets the team act from the same screen: tag the account, update account fields, log the conversation, schedule a follow up task, and share a short summary to a channel
What do I need to use this?
- A ChartMogul account with your subscription and billing data already flowing in
- A HubSpot login, so the app can show the matching company and its open deals
- A Slack workspace, if you want the team to share account summaries to a channel
- Customer email addresses in ChartMogul, since company matching works off the email domain
How can I customize it?
- Change which panels lead the page, for example putting the upgrade and churn timeline above invoices if that is what your calls start with
- Adjust how far back the activity and invoice history goes, and how many rows each panel shows before you page through more
- Set the default Slack channel for account summaries, and edit the wording the summary is pre-filled with
- Pick which account fields the team can edit inline, so notes and tags stay consistent across the team
