Every Sunday at 6pm in my local timezone, gather the past seven days of my Google Health data and compare it against the seven days before that, then send me a personal weekly coaching email.

For the current week (the last 7 days ending now) and the prior week (the 7 days before that), pull the following metrics from Google Health. Use the Roll-Up Data Points operation to get weekly aggregates where it makes sense, and List Data Points where you need the raw sessions or daily values:

1. Sleep — total sleep duration per night, then average per night for each week. Use the sleep data type.

2. Steps — total steps for each week and the daily average. Use the steps data type.

3. Exercise sessions — count of workouts, total active minutes, and a short list of session types (run, ride, strength, etc.) for each week. Use the exercise and active-minutes data types.

4. Resting heart rate — weekly average using the daily-resting-heart-rate data type.

5. Heart rate variability — weekly average using the daily-heart-rate-variability data type.

Compute week-over-week deltas for each metric (absolute change and percent change). If a metric has no data for one of the weeks, note it as missing rather than reporting a false delta.

Then write a weekly health coach report in the voice of an encouraging personal coach, not a data analyst. Structure it roughly like this:

- A short warm opener (one or two sentences) framing how the week went overall.

- What improved: 2-3 specific wins with concrete numbers and week-over-week deltas (e.g. "Average sleep climbed from 6h 42m to 7h 18m, +36 minutes").

- What slipped: 1-2 areas that regressed, again with concrete numbers, framed constructively, not scolding.

- Focus for next week: exactly one or two specific, actionable habits (e.g. "Aim for lights-out by 10:30pm on weeknights" or "Add a third strength session, keep it short"). Avoid vague advice like "sleep more" or "move more".

- A brief encouraging sign-off.

Tone: warm, direct, coach-like. Celebrate real wins without being saccharine. Do not use em dashes. Do not moralize. Do not invent numbers — if data is thin or missing, say so and lean on what is available.

Format the report as clean HTML for email: a bold subject line like "Your week in review — [date range]", a short intro paragraph, then bolded section headers (Wins, Slips, Focus for next week) with tight paragraphs or short bullet lists underneath. Keep it scannable in under 60 seconds.

Send the report using the Gmail Send a Message operation to my own email address, with the subject line described above and the HTML body as the message content.

Additional information

What does this prompt do?
  • Pulls the last seven days of your Google Health data — sleep, steps, exercise sessions, resting heart rate, and heart rate variability — and compares it against the previous seven days.
  • Writes a personal weekly coaching report in the voice of an encouraging coach, calling out what improved, what slipped, and one or two habits to focus on next week.
  • Highlights concrete numbers: average sleep, total steps, workout count, resting heart rate, and HRV — each with a week-over-week delta.
  • Sends the finished report as a nicely formatted email straight to your own inbox every Sunday at 6pm.
What do I need to use this?
  • A Google Health account connected to your Fitbit, Pixel Watch, or another supported wearable so the workflow can read your recent activity, sleep, and heart data.
  • A Gmail account for sending the weekly coaching email to yourself.
  • Roughly a week of tracked data on your wearable so there is something meaningful to compare against.
How can I customize it?
  • Change the day and time the report is sent — for example, Sunday at 8pm, or Monday morning before your first meeting.
  • Adjust which metrics the coach focuses on (add nutrition or VO2 max, drop HRV if you don't track it).
  • Tune the tone — more clinical and data-forward, or even more encouraging and habit-focused.

Frequently asked questions

Which wearables does this work with?
Anything that syncs into Google Health — Fitbit devices, Pixel Watch, and third-party trackers connected through the Google Health app. As long as your device is feeding sleep, activity, and heart rate into Google Health, this report will pick it up.
Do I need to send the email to myself, or can I send it to someone else?
By default it goes to your own inbox, but you can swap in any recipient — a partner, a coach, or a shared health accountability email. The report is generated the same way regardless of who reads it.
What if I only wore my device for a few days last week?
The coach works from whatever data is there. If a metric is missing or thin, it will note that gently and focus its advice on the numbers you did track, instead of inventing trends.
Will the email feel like a spreadsheet dump?
No. The prompt specifically asks for a warm, coach-like tone — celebrating what improved, naming what slipped, and picking one or two concrete habits to focus on next week. The numbers are there to back up the advice, not to replace it.
Can I change when the email arrives?
Yes. Sunday at 6pm is a starting point. You can move it to Monday morning, Friday afternoon, or any cadence that fits how you plan your week.

Turn your wearable data into a weekly coaching moment.

Skip the endless graphs. Get one warm, personal email every Sunday that tells you what to work on next week.
