Build me an agent workflow that produces a weekly TikTok content brief in Notion, grounded in what actually worked on my own account.

Trigger: a cron schedule that runs every Sunday at 6pm in the creator's local time. One run per week.

Integrations: TikTok (to read my posts and stats), Notion (to write the brief), Slack Bot (to send the heads-up).

On each run, the agent should do the following:

1) Pull my TikTok posts from the last 30 days. Use TikTok List Videos to page through my recent uploads (filter or stop once the created time is older than 30 days), then use TikTok Query Videos to fetch full details for each video ID, including caption, hashtags, view count, like count, comment count, share count, and duration. Compute an engagement rate per post (likes + comments + shares) divided by views.

2) Mine the data for patterns. Identify the top quartile of posts by views and by engagement rate. Look for recurring hooks in captions (opening lines, question openers, list frames), hashtag clusters that appear across high-view posts, topics or formats that overperformed, and topics or formats that underperformed. Note the sample size honestly, if the creator only posted a few times, say so.

3) Draft 5 fresh video briefs for next week. Each brief has: a working title, a one-sentence hook, a three-bullet outline of what happens in the video, 3 to 6 suggested hashtags, and a one-line note on which past-post pattern it is riffing on (e.g. 'riffs on the question-opener hook from your top post about X'). The five briefs should feel varied, not five copies of the same idea.

4) Write the brief to Notion. Use Notion Create a Page under a parent page or database the creator picks (something like 'TikTok Content Briefs'). The new page title should include the date range, e.g. 'Week of Mon DD'. The page body starts with a short 'What worked and what did not' preamble (3 to 6 sentences summarizing the patterns from step 2), then the 5 briefs as clearly separated sections. Return the new page URL.

5) Send a Slack heads-up. Use Slack Bot Send a Message to a channel or DM the creator picks. Keep it tight: a two-line teaser (e.g. one line naming the biggest insight from this week, one line teasing one of the brief titles) and a link to the new Notion page. No wall of text in Slack, the Notion page is where the substance lives.

Configuration the creator should be able to set on install: the TikTok account, the Notion parent page/database ID, the Slack destination (channel or DM), and optionally the schedule and the lookback window (default 30 days).

Guardrails: if TikTok returns fewer than 3 posts in the window, still run but say so in the preamble and widen implicitly to the last 60 days for that run only. If Notion write fails, do not send the Slack message, surface the error instead. Never invent post metrics, only use numbers TikTok returned.

Additional information

What does this prompt do?
  • Every Sunday at 6pm, pulls the last 30 days of your TikTok posts and looks at captions, hashtags, views, likes, and engagement rate.
  • Finds patterns in what actually worked, which hooks keep landing, which hashtag clusters correlate with strong views, which topics fell flat.
  • Drafts 5 fresh video briefs for the coming week, each with a working title, a one-sentence hook, a three-bullet outline, suggested hashtags, and a note on which past post it is riffing on.
  • Creates a new page in your Notion content-planning space with the 5 briefs and a short recap of what worked and what did not.
  • Pings the creator in Slack with a two-line teaser and a link to the new Notion page, so the brief is ready before Monday morning.
What do I need to use this?
  • A TikTok creator account connected with permission to read your posts and stats.
  • A Notion workspace with a parent page or database called something like 'TikTok Content Briefs' shared with the connection.
  • A Slack workspace and a channel or DM where the weekly heads-up should land.
How can I customize it?
  • Change the schedule. Sunday 6pm is a default. Move it to Friday afternoon, Monday morning, or twice a week.
  • Change how many briefs you get. Five is the default. Ask for three, seven, or a mix of long-form and short-form ideas.
  • Change the lookback window. Thirty days works for most creators. Widen it to 60 or 90 days if you post less often, or narrow it to 14 days if you post daily.
  • Change where it lands. Point it at a different Notion parent, and swap the Slack channel or DM.

Frequently asked questions

Does this actually look at my TikTok analytics, or is it just generic content advice?
It reads your own posts from the last 30 days, including captions, hashtags, view counts, like counts, and engagement rate, and grounds every brief in patterns from your account. It is not a generic content coach.
What if I did not post much in the last 30 days?
The agent will still surface whatever patterns it can find and be clear about the small sample. You can widen the lookback window to 60 or 90 days when you customize the workflow.
Where in Notion do the briefs land?
Under a parent page or database you pick, typically called something like 'TikTok Content Briefs'. Each Sunday it creates a new dated child page so your history builds up over time.
Can I have it post the Slack heads-up in a channel instead of a DM?
Yes. When you set up the workflow, tell it which channel or which person to notify. You can also change it later.
Do the briefs include hashtags?
Yes. Each brief comes with suggested hashtags drawn from clusters that correlate with strong views on your own posts, not a generic trending list.
