Build an agent workflow that delivers a weekly TikTok performance digest to Slack every Friday at 3pm in my timezone.

Trigger: cron, weekly on Friday at 15:00 in the creator's local timezone (ask me for the timezone when configuring). The workflow uses two integrations: TikTok as the data source and Slack Bot as the delivery channel.

What the agent should do on each run:

1. Pull this week's videos. Call TikTok List Videos to get every video I posted in the last 7 days (cursor-paginate until has_more is false, filter server-side or client-side by create_time within the window). Then call TikTok Query Videos with those video IDs to fetch view_count, like_count, comment_count, share_count, and average watch time (video_duration plus available watch stats). Also grab title/caption text so you can reason about hooks and topics.

2. Pull profile stats. Call TikTok Query Creator Info (or Get User Info with the user.info.stats scope) to grab the current follower count and total likes on the account.

3. Compare to last week. Repeat the video pull for the previous 7-day window (day 8 through day 14 back). Compute deltas: follower growth vs prior week, and per-video engagement compared against the median of the prior week's posts. Also compute this week's median views so you can flag outliers.

4. Write the digest. Produce a short natural-language recap that (a) names the top 2 performers with the metric that made them stand out, (b) names the weakest post honestly, (c) flags any outlier (a video with 3x the median views, or an unusually large follower jump), and (d) gives one concrete recommendation for next week's batch based on which hooks or topics actually performed best. Tone: plain and specific. No generic marketing speak. No hedging. If it was a light week, say so and still make a recommendation.

5. Post to Slack. Call Slack Bot Send a Message to post the digest to a channel I choose at setup. Format with Slack mrkdwn: a one-line summary at top (posts this week, follower delta, best video), a Top Performers block with the two winners and their key numbers, a short note on the weakest post, and a final "One thing to try next week" line with the recommendation.

Ask me at setup: the Slack channel to post in, my timezone, and (optional) any specific KPI I want the digest to lead with. Everything else should just work.

What do I need to use this?
  • A TikTok Creator account you can connect (the digest covers your own posts, not a competitor's).
  • A Slack workspace and the channel you want the recap delivered to.
  • A rough sense of your timezone so Friday afternoon means Friday afternoon for you.
How can I customize it?
  • Change the schedule. Move it to Monday morning, Sunday night, or any other cadence that fits your review rhythm.
  • Swap the delivery channel. Send the digest to a private DM, a client channel, or a shared #content Slack room.
  • Adjust the tone or the recommendation angle. Ask for hook analysis, format mix, posting-time patterns, or a specific KPI to lead with.

Frequently asked questions

Does this cover competitors or just my own TikTok account?
Just your own account. It reads the videos you posted and the profile stats for the account you connect. If you want a competitor rundown, use one of the competitor digest prompts instead.
What metrics does the digest actually include?
Views, likes, comments, shares, and watch time per video, plus current follower count and total likes on the profile. It compares each of these against the prior 7 days so you see the change, not just the raw number.
Can I change the delivery time or day?
Yes. Friday at 3pm is the default because it lines up with a weekly wrap-up, but you can move it to any day and time. Tell the assistant when you want it and it will adjust.
Will this work if I only posted once or twice this week?
Yes. The recap adapts to how much you posted. If it is a light week, it still reports the numbers, the week-over-week delta, and a suggestion for next batch. It will not invent trends that are not there.
What if I want the digest sent somewhere other than Slack?
Ask for it in the customization step. The same recap logic works with email, Notion, a Google Doc, or a different chat tool. Slack is just the default because most content teams already live there.
