Changelog
iPhone conversations open faster from Specialists
In the iPhone app, moving between Specialists and a conversation is quicker and steadier. A conversation starts sliding in sooner when you tap it. Going back no longer makes the view, search, and new task buttons at the top of Specialists disappear for a moment. Reading a reply no longer redraws every list in the app.
How it works
- Buttons stay put. The buttons at the top of a tab belong to that tab, so a conversation sliding over it and back leaves them where they are.
- Less to build on the way in. A conversation now builds only what you see. A specialist's files and connections load the first time you switch to them, and the conversations list and the specialist picker are built only when you open them.
- Reads touch one row. Opening an unread conversation, or marking one read, redraws that conversation's row instead of every row on every tab. Opening a conversation you have already read sends nothing at all.
- Quiet in the background. A working specialist's figure rests while a conversation covers the Specialists list and starts again when you come back. Relative times on the list update once a minute rather than each time you return.
Also shipped
- The tab badges redraw only when a count changes.
